Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues is the cleanest way to separate what today’s patch actually fixed from bugs that are still active. Update 7.1.0 removes several problems that were sitting on Arrowhead’s September 20 known-issues list, but it does not fix everything on that list.
The big takeaway from Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues is that the LAS-13 Trident recoil problem, enemy aggro on empty vehicles and several movement or clipping bugs were addressed, while the Lumberer flamethrower damage issue and the AR-59 Suppressor Short Magazine problem are not listed as fixed in 7.1.0. Arrowhead’s official 7.1.0 patch notes are the source for the fixes, while the official known-issues page is still useful for the unresolved September list.
Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues: bugs fixed in 7.1.0

| Previously listed issue | 7.1.0 status | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| Enemies target unmanned FRVs | Fixed | Enemies will no longer target unoccupied vehicles |
| LAS-13 Trident increased recoil | Fixed | Vertical climb recoil reduced from 12 to 2 |
| Controller map can cause unintended stim use in a vehicle | Fixed | Stim inputs no longer buffer while the map is open in a vehicle or walker |
| Wretches and Crushers clipping through floors | Fixed in specified structures | Patch fixes Wretches and Crushers clipping through floors of certain structures |
| Citizen pathfinding in Evacuate Citizens | Fixed | Citizens no longer lose their way to the Shuttle Bay |
| Xbox tree rendering issue | Fixed | Incorrect tree rendering fixed on Xbox |
| Some POIs not clearing on the minimap | Fixed | POIs now clear when all samples are collected |
| Microsoft IME causing lost keyboard controls | Fixed | Complex-character IME no longer removes all keyboard controls in-game |
The most obvious resolved item in Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues is the Trident recoil bug. Arrowhead says the excessive vertical climb came from beam-system work for the meltagun and reduces the Trident’s vertical climb recoil from 12 to 2 in 7.1.0.
The empty-vehicle problem is also explicit rather than inferred. Arrowhead’s community-feedback section says enemies will no longer target unoccupied vehicles. That directly answers the earlier known-issue entry about enemies targeting unmanned FRVs.
Bugs that 7.1.0 does not list as fixed
The unresolved side of Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues matters just as much. Neither the Lumberer’s flamethrower damage problem nor the AR-59 Suppressor Short Magazine issue appears anywhere in the 7.1.0 fix list. Until Arrowhead publishes a specific correction or removes those entries from the known-issues page, they should still be treated as active.
| Known issue | 7.1.0 status |
|---|---|
| Lumberer’s Flamethrower does not apply damage correctly | No fix listed |
| AR-59 Suppressor Short Magazine buff did not apply | No fix listed |
| IX-Voidwalker helmet disappears at some camera angles | No fix listed |
| Eagle Gas Airstrike demolition strength is higher than intended | No fix listed |
| R-4 Hyena can lose magazines if reload is interrupted | No fix listed |
| Melee kills not counted correctly in some stats | No fix listed |
| Explosives can ragdoll Helldivers through terrain | No fix listed |
Our Lumberer flamethrower bug guide and AR-59 Suppressor magazine bug guide now carry the 7.1.0 status so readers do not mistake today’s patch for a fix.
Did 7.1.0 fix the LAS-13 Trident recoil bug?
Yes. This is one of the clearest resolved items in Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues. Arrowhead says the Trident’s unintended recoil increase came from changes to the beam system and reduces vertical climb recoil from 12 to 2.
That does not mean the Trident now has literally zero recoil. Arrowhead explicitly says some recoil is still intended so the weapon feels more impactful. Our LAS-13 Trident recoil bug guide covers the cause and before-and-after values.
Did 7.1.0 fix the Illuminate clipping issue?
The patch addresses part of the clipping problem covered by Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues. Arrowhead says Wretches and Crushers can no longer clip through the floors of certain structures. The earlier known-issues wording was broader and mentioned new Illuminate enemies clipping through the ground and obstacles on High Value Assets missions.
Because the patch wording is narrower, it is safer to say the Wretch and Crusher floor-clipping case is fixed than to declare every possible High Value Assets obstacle-clipping scenario solved. If the broader mission-specific problem still appears, that would need a fresh report.
Did 7.1.0 fix unintended stim use in vehicles?
Yes. The earlier Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues list said operating the map with a controller inside a vehicle could cause unintended stim usage. Patch 7.1.0 says stim inputs will no longer buffer while the player is in a vehicle or walker with the map open.
That is a direct enough match to mark the controller vehicle-map stim issue as fixed in this patch.
What changed with Ice Plant ragdolling?
Patch 7.1.0 also fixes the Ice Plant hazard ragdoll and stagger problem, which overlaps the earlier Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues gameplay entry about ice flowers causing ragdolling when triggered. Arrowhead says the hazard no longer ragdolls or staggers more than intended.
That means the extreme version of the hazard behavior should be gone, although the patch wording still allows the hazard to have intended effects.
What should you still watch after 7.1.0?
The best way to use Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues is as a status snapshot, not a promise that every September bug vanished. Arrowhead’s known-issues page was last updated before 7.1.0, so some entries on that page are now superseded by today’s patch notes while others remain unresolved.
- Treat an explicit 7.1.0 fix as newer than the September 20 known-issues snapshot.
- Keep the Lumberer and AR-59 pages live because neither has a 7.1.0 fix.
- Do not assume the Eagle Gas Airstrike demolition value is intentional just because 7.1.0 leaves it untouched.
- Separate the IME movement fix from the separate issue where non-Latin symbols may still fail in chat.
- Watch the next known-issues refresh for removed or rewritten entries.
The official Helldivers 2 page remains the main game hub, but Arrowhead Support is the better source for bug status. We will keep Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues aligned with the patch notes rather than leaving fixed bugs marked as active or unresolved bugs marked as solved.
Helldivers 2 7.1.0 Known Issues should be checked against the current Arrowhead patch notes rather than an older pre-patch issue list.
