Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats: How to Earn 10 Free Tavern Tickets

Hearthstone Reign of the Black Empire

Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats can reward you with 10 Tavern Tickets through five achievements added in Patch 37.0 on October 13, 2026. Each Empire Feat has two parts: open a set number of Reign of the Black Empire card packs, then finish an Underground Arena run with at least six wins. Complete all five and you’ll earn two Tavern Tickets from each.

The order is crucial. A six-win Underground run before you’ve opened enough expansion packs doesn’t automatically satisfy the achievement’s second stage. Blizzard specifically says the pack-opening stage must be finished first. Here’s the complete breakdown, where to check progress and how the feats differ from the limited-time Pre-Release Tavern Brawl.

All five Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats and their rewards

Arena Feat Part 1: packs opened Part 2: Underground run Reward
Empire Combatant 5 packs Underground 6+ wins 2 Tavern Tickets
Empire Challenger 10 packs Underground 6+ wins 2 Tavern Tickets
Empire Rival 20 packs Underground 6+ wins 2 Tavern Tickets
Empire Duelist 35 packs Underground 6+ wins 2 Tavern Tickets
Empire Gladiator 50 packs Underground 6+ wins 2 Tavern Tickets

These Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats together pay ten Tavern Tickets. The pack thresholds are cumulative milestones at 5, 10, 20, 35 and 50 expansion packs, not five separate amounts to add together. Opening 50 eligible packs reaches the highest stated pack threshold; the second part of each Feat is still its own achievement step.

How to complete Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats in the correct order

  1. Update Hearthstone to Patch 37.0 and open the new Journal.
  2. Go to Feats, the new name for the game’s achievement section, and find the five Empire Arena entries.
  3. Open at least five Reign of the Black Empire packs to complete Part 1 of Empire Combatant.
  4. Enter Underground Arena and finish a run with at least six wins to complete Part 2 once it is unlocked.
  5. Repeat the relevant pack and Underground requirements for Challenger, Rival, Duelist and Gladiator as their thresholds are reached.
  6. Claim or check each finished Feat’s reward in the Journal. Each one grants two Tavern Tickets.

The Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats are not ordinary Ranked quests. You must finish a six-win Underground run, not win six games scattered across different Arena runs. It also isn’t enough to use the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl, even though that event has its own six-win achievement.

Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats: Can one six-win Underground run complete all five Feats?

Blizzard hasn’t explicitly answered this in the October 12 patch notes. It says Part 1 must be completed before Part 2 for every Feat, but it doesn’t state whether an Underground completion can satisfy several already-unlocked second stages simultaneously. If you open 50 packs first, check the live Journal and Feat progress after a qualifying run; don’t plan your full reward route on an unconfirmed single-run shortcut.

You can make sensible progress towards the Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats by opening the available expansion packs ahead of Underground attempts, but there’s no verified claim that five different six-win runs are required either. The correct number depends on whether the game awards concurrent Part 2 progress, which must be verified in the client.

Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats: Do the 50 expansion packs have to be opened after October 20?

No wait until October 20 is stated in the Feats requirements. Blizzard’s Patch 37.0 pre-release window lets players open Reign of the Black Empire packs starting October 13, ahead of the expansion’s October 20 launch. The new Feats are added with the patch too, so players can begin checking pack-opening progress during the early-access week.

Only Reign of the Black Empire packs count for the stated pack targets. Don’t assume that packs from TITANS, Across the Timeways or the earlier Escape from Violet Hold expansion count towards Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats, even if those sets appear in the new Arena drafting pool.

Underground Arena versus Pre-Release Tavern Brawl

Requirement or mode Underground Arena Feats Pre-Release Tavern Brawl
Required wins At least six in a completed Underground run Six wins for the Champion achievement
Other prerequisite Open 5–50 new expansion packs first Use a qualifying Pre-Release Brawl deck
Rewards Two Tavern Tickets per Empire Feat Two Tavern Tickets plus a pack for Champion; separate undefeated card back
Dates Added October 13 with the Arena season October 13–20 event window

It’s easy to confuse the two because both feature six-win goals and Tavern Tickets. The Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats are found in the Arena Feats list, while the Brawl’s achievements are tied to a temporary deck-building event that ends October 20. Completing a Brawl with six wins won’t replace an Underground run for these Arena Feats.

Do you have to get twelve wins for these rewards?

No. Every Empire Arena Feat specifies an Underground run with six or more wins. The separate twelve-win Underground prize is the Il’gynoth Demon Hunter Hero Skin. After you’ve obtained that skin, later twelve-win results award two Golden Reign of the Black Empire packs instead.

For Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats, you can stop focusing on the achievement requirement once your Underground run meets its six-win condition and finishes. Reaching twelve wins is a much harder, different objective, though a twelve-win run of course also passes the six-win threshold if the relevant Feat stage is active.

How to get more expansion packs before the Feats

The Reign of the Black Empire expansion has a free Journey chapter, launch events and other pack rewards. You may also have pre-purchase or event packs available to open once the pre-release window is active. Check what you’ve already earned in your collection before buying extra packs just to chase an achievement.

Blizzard lists a free Chapter 1 Journey reward of seven packs across its weekly parts, alongside the October 20 event rewards. These opportunities can contribute to your overall collection, but the Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats still demand up to 50 packs opened for the highest milestone. Don’t mistake a reward of Tavern Tickets for a promise that reaching Gladiator is cost-free without substantial pack acquisition.

Why isn’t an Empire Arena Feat progressing?

Start with the Journal’s Feats section. If Part 2 isn’t available, check that you’ve opened enough Reign of the Black Empire packs for that particular tier. A strong Underground run won’t substitute for the first stage when it hasn’t been completed.

If the pack threshold is met but an Underground result didn’t count, verify that you finished a run with six or more wins in Underground Arena, not regular Arena or the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl. If several Feats were unlocked at once, check each achievement independently before assuming the same run completed them all.

The Hearthstone Empire Arena Feats are a useful additional way to earn up to ten Tavern Tickets during the new season, but the sequence is fixed: open the expansion packs, then complete the qualifying Underground stage. Blizzard’s full wording is in the official patch notes linked below.
