Hearthstone Tavern Tender is a new reward currency you earn when buying eligible items from the Battle.net Hearthstone Shop. Tavern Rewards launched on 20 October 2026, and the opening Vault has seven items to choose from, including a Signature Legendary, hero skins and five expansion packs.
You don’t need to spend the Tender straight away. You can save it across purchases and redeem it when a reward you actually want appears in the Vault. Here’s what’s available now and how to collect and spend the currency.
What is in the Tavern Rewards Vault now?
Blizzard has confirmed the following seven rewards. You choose which ones to redeem, using Hearthstone Tavern Tender you’ve already earned. The Signature Legendary is randomly selected from Standard cards; you can’t specify which Legendary you’ll receive.
Blizzard hasn’t published the individual Tender prices in its announcement. Open the Tavern Rewards Vault on Battle.net to see the cost of each item before spending anything. These are the opening rewards, so some may leave as the selection rotates.

How do you earn Hearthstone Tavern Tender?
Sign into the Hearthstone Battle.net Shop and look at eligible packs, bundles, cosmetics or Tavern Pass offers. Complete a qualifying purchase with your Battle.net account. Blizzard says any Tavern Tender attached to the purchase is credited automatically at no extra charge.
Look for the Tender entitlement on the actual product offer before paying. Blizzard hasn’t announced a universal amount awarded per pound spent, and buying something outside its eligible Battle.net offers won’t automatically earn Hearthstone Tavern Tender. You still receive the item you bought; Tender is the additional reward.
How do you spend Tavern Tender?
Sign into Battle.net and open the Hearthstone Tavern Rewards Vault under the game’s shop offers. Select a reward to see how much Tender it costs and redeem it using your account’s balance. That’s where the currency is spent; it isn’t a card-crafting material or a payment option for ordinary Hearthstone packs.
Your balance can build up across eligible purchases. If none of the current cosmetics catches your eye, keep your Hearthstone Tavern Tender for a later Vault rotation instead of redeeming something just because it’s there.
Do the Vault rewards rotate?
Yes. The seven rewards in the table are the opening selection, not a permanent shop inventory. Blizzard says rewards can leave the Vault and new ones can arrive, with some older cosmetics potentially returning.
There’s no published date for each rotation or guaranteed return date for a particular skin. If you’re saving Hearthstone Tavern Tender for Annhylde, Omen or another cosmetic, the live Vault will tell you what’s available to redeem now.
Can you earn Hearthstone Tavern Tender for free?
There is no confirmed repeatable quest, daily-win bonus or gameplay mode that awards this currency. Blizzard’s stated method is qualifying purchases in its Battle.net Hearthstone Shop. The weekly free Battle.net Shop gift is a separate promotion, not a confirmed source of Tavern Tender.
Gold, Runestones, Tavern Tickets and the earlier Black Market Bloodstones are different currencies. You cannot assume they can be transferred into Hearthstone Tavern Tender or spent on the same Vault rewards.
Is it available in the UK?
Yes. Blizzard says Tavern Rewards launched on 20 October 2026 in every Hearthstone region except Mainland China. UK players can use the European Battle.net Hearthstone Shop, provided a product is eligible and the reward is offered to their account.
The currency is separate from the free Black Empire event rewards. Completing those quests doesn’t itself qualify as a Battle.net purchase, even if it awards the same expansion’s packs.
Which reward should you choose?
For a card collection, compare the cost of the five Black Empire packs against the random Standard Signature Legendary. The packs add multiple cards, while the Signature option awards one Legendary that you cannot choose. Neither guarantees the particular card you’re missing.
If you prefer cosmetics, the Annhylde option includes a full Hero Skin and card back. Omen, Kitsune and Malfurion are Lite skins, while Welcome Inn is only a card back. Check what you already own and the Tender price before deciding. Saving Hearthstone Tavern Tender for another selection is fine too.
