A few days after his official announcement as a future Genshin Impact playable character, Scaramouche or the Wanderer had his animations leaked. This definitely hyped up the arrival of another playable Fatui Harbinger, especially because he is seen to be a ranged catalyst user, unlike Shikanoin Heizou.

While it was previously leaked that the Wanderer would “most likely” be a ranged catalyst user, fans could not help but think that he might end up like the Inazuman detective (not to say that the latter’s playstyle isn’t unique and fun). For starters, the two strangely have the same pose in their official art.

Thankfully, for a majority of fans at least, the Wanderer’s previously leaked “wind blades” are actually ranged attacks as shown in the leaked Wanderer animations.

The animations of the Wanderer were leaked in several videos. There’s one that shows his rumored dedicated support, Faruzan, with him in the same team. Leaker Thereallo posted this on Twitter.

In this combat challenge video, Faruzan can be seen placing something on the field, presumably from her Burst that was previously leaked to deal “damage on cast and buffs for 12.5 seconds.” This is followed by Bennett’s Burst and ends with the Wanderer’s Burst.

Moreover, the leaker posted another video showcasing the two outside of battle. The video shows what appears to be the Wanderer animations for his Normal Attacks, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst.

Leaker GenshinMains also posted several videos about the Wanderer, including the same animations that the previous ones showed. However, the leaker also shared some videos of idle animations of the upcoming character. One idle animation shows the Wanderer holding his hat, while another idle animation shows him doing the eyelid pull. In Japanese culture, this facial gesture is called Akanbe and is done to indicate sarcasm or taunt someone.

These Wanderer animations show that although the upcoming 5-star Anemo character isn’t the nicest of characters lore-wise, he might actually be fun to play as.
