Genshin Impact: Wanderer/Scaramouche, Faruzan officially revealed on Bohemian Rhapsody’s anniversary

Scaramouche has caught the attention of fans since his first appearance in Genshin Impact‘s Unreconciled Stars event in Version 1.1. After making short appearances in quests and events, the Sixth Fatui Harbinger has long been rumored to become playable similar to the Eleventh one, Tartaglia/Childe.
However, it was not only until recently that the elusive character was officially revealed as a playable character by the game’s new drip marketing, albeit with the name Wanderer. Faruzan, the Wanderer’s rumored dedicated support character, was also announced.
As usual, the announcement was made on the game’s official social media accounts, revealing Scaramouche’s new look (as previously leaked) and Faruzan’s never-before leaked design.
Wanderer/Scaramouche officially announced in time for Bohemian Rhapsody’s anniversary
Fans were quick to notice that the long-awaited Anemo 5-star character was officially revealed in time for the anniversary of Queen’s most popular song, Bohemian Rhapsody. This timing makes sense for fans familiar with the song and the Fatui Harbinger’s lore.
The Wanderer/Scaramouche has a long history revealed by the game’s previous events and even through the artifact set called The Husk Of Opulent Dreams.
He was known simply as “Wanderer” before joining the Fatui Harbingers and getting the alias Scaramouche the Balladeer. However, before wandering around Teyvat, he was actually the very first puppet or vessel that the Inazuman Archon, Raiden Ei, created to house her Gnosis.
Those who have finished or have started the game’s Archon quest in Inazuma should know that the Raiden Shogun is currently the Inazuman Archon’s vessel and acts as the ruler of Inazuma in her stead. This is because Ei felt that the Wanderer/Scaramouche was too soft to do the task. Instead of killing him, however, she let him take control of his life.
Although he was set free, this was later seen by the Wanderer/Scaramouche as an act of betrayal by his creator, whom he also considered as his mother.
Faruzan reportedly designed as a support character for the Wanderer/Scaramouche
Even before being officially announced, it was rumored that Faruzan would be a dedicated support character for the Wanderer. The upcoming 4-star Anemo character also had her kit leaked, but it was only until the official announcement that her appearance was revealed.
It was previously leaked that her Elemental Skill is focused on reducing enemies’ Anemo RES while her Burst “does damage on cast and buffs for 12.5 seconds.”
Based on the announcement’s schedule, the two are expected to arrive in Genshin Impact Version 3.3.
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed by miHoyo, also known as HoYoverse. The game is available for PC, PS4, PS5, iOS, and Android, while a release on Nintendo Switch is currently in the works.
