In the previous regions that the Traveler and Paimon have gone to, the Fatui always had something up their sleeves. Of course, they are expected to go back to their scheming ways in Sumeru, and such can be seen in the world quest called The Foolish Fatuus.

This world quest is one of the several quests that will help increase your Reputation Level in Sumeru. However, there are things that you need to do first before you can unlock it.

If you’re wondering how you can start The Foolish Fatuus, complete it, and what rewards are in store for you, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll tell you everything you need about this world quest.

While you’re here, you might also want to check out how you can unlock and complete another Sumeru Quest called The Price. In this quest, you’ll meet two Fatui members. However, you will not be fighting them. Instead, you’ll be trying to help them leave the faction and live ordinary lives.

How to unlock and complete ‘The Foolish Fatuus’ in Genshin Impact

In order to unlock The Foolish Fatuus, you must have already completed all eight (8) Energy Extraction Device puzzles all over Sumeru. If you’re not sure what this device puzzle is, it’s where you need to look for control keys and shut down extractors in various Eremite camps.

Once all of the puzzles are completed, start the quest by going to the camp near Yasna Monument. Then go to three other camps in the order indicated on the map below. You will have to defeat the Fatui Agent named Oleg in the first three camps. In the last one, you will have to fight the Eremite Kasim.

After defeating Kasim, you will be interrogating him about the Fatui Stronghold‘s location. Diminishing or maintaining Kasim‘s willpower meter will lead you to the same next step, so feel free to choose whatever dialogue option you want.

However, Kasim will leave without you noticing, and the game will tell you to search for clues. The clue can be found on a note on top of a wooden box behind where Kasim was standing. This will tell you how you can access the stronghold.

Following the note, go to an area north of Pardis Dhyai (the location is marked on your map). Make sure that the time is between 20:00 and 6:00, and light the torches using Pyro ATK.

Go to the Fatui stronghold marked on your map, talk to Oleg, and follow him inside the cave. Here, Oleg will ambush you, so defeat him and his men. After this, you will be reporting the Fatui to Rukh Shah from the Corps of Thirty and The Foolish Fatuus world quest will end, unlocking the Open Sesame! achievement.
