How to unlock and complete ‘Courage is in the Heart’ in Genshin Impact

In order to unlock Courage is in the Heart, you must have already completed the Static Views world quest. This is the quest that allows you to access the Mysterious Clipboard, which is a collection of Aranara paintings for locating Treasure Chests.

In fact, Courage is in the Heart is related to treasure location #4 from the Mysterious Clipboard. Note that you can still take this quest even if you have not located the #2 and #3 treasure locations. This quest only requires you to complete Static Views first.

If you have already met the requirement, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Head over to treasure location #4 of the Mysterious Clipboard. You can also “dig” the treasure her if you haven’t yet. If you’re not sure where to find the location, check out the images below for your reference.

STEP 2: Defeat the Hilichurls in the area. They will drop the Florescent Talisman.

STEP 3: Enter the Aranara house and read the Inconsistently-Written Notes for clues. This is written by Arashakun who, based on the notes, might be in a nearby cave.

STEP 4: Head inside the cave (Mawtiyima Forest) down the road. You can simply walk toward this cave with Hilichurls outside. If you’re not sure where the cave is, check out the image below for your reference. Inside the cave, you will find Arashakun.

STEP 5: Defeat the Hydro Slime to free Arashakun. This Aranara will tell you how he lost “courage” and went looking for it. He will also share about the Furry Mask Demon King who once took his Nara (human) friend.

STEP 6: Give the Florescent Talisman to the Arashakun and talk to him again. This talisman turns out to be the “courage” that he’s referring to. Then, Arashakun will ask you for help in defeating the Furry Mask Demon King.

STEP 7: Go to the Furry Mask Demon King‘s camp. While the camp is marked on your map, you might have a hard time locating it. Note that you don’t have to get out of the cave (Mawtiyima Forest) to reach the next area. You only have to continue following the path until you find huge mushrooms. You can find the Furry Mask Demon King on top of the mushroom in the image below. There is a Clusterleaf nearby that will spawn a Four-Leaf Sigil when hit by a Dendro ATK. You can use this to reach the area easily.

STEP 8: Defeat the Furry Mask Demon King, which turns out to be a Hilichurl. Doing so will unlock the As the Lion Searched for Courage… achievement.
