Genshin Impact: Leak on Ayaka’s school uniform skin disappoints playerbase

Ayaka is one of the most popular characters in Genshin Impact. For one, she’s a great Cryo DPS. On the other hand, she had the longest-running banner so far, albeit unintentionally. However, like most characters in the game, Ayaka currently doesn’t have a skin.

While it was previously leaked that the oldest daughter of the Kamisato Clan would have a new skin, there was no mention of what it would be. The player base was also left in the dark in terms of its release date or even just speculation about it.

Recently, a new leak suggests that this new Ayaka skin will have the Cryo character wear a school uniform. However, this doesn’t seem to sit right with most fans.

The supposed Ayaka‘s school uniform skin was shared by known leaker hxg_diluc. In a tweet, the leaker said,

Moreover, the leaker mentioned that the skin is reportedly (according to Uncle DD) going to be a little bit “homely.” However, it is unclear what the leaker actually meant.

Another known leaker, Mero, who supposedly also knows about the new Ayaka skin, replied to the tweet with a thinking face emoji. As expected, a few questions were thrown to the leaker from fans who wanted a second opinion about the leak.

One user with Twitter handle @yeliomi asked the leaker to say that the new information about Ayaka‘s skin isn’t true. However, Mero simply replied that they didn’t want to lie, giving an impression that hxg_diluc‘s leak is correct as far as they know.

The replies under hxg_diluc‘s leak were mostly expressions of disappointment from fans who are not comfortable to see a presumably grown woman wearing a school uniform and appealing to a certain demographic.

On the other hand, some were expecting a spring-themed kimono for Ayaka‘s skin. However, as for this expectation, Mero said that spring is actually “school time in Japan.”

Still, others believe that perhaps the school uniform skin will not be modern, similar to what fans have seen during the Hey Tea x Genshin Impact collaboration.

While this information has caused some uproar within the game’s community, fans should be reminded that this is simply a leak and that Ayaka having a skin hasn’t even been confirmed yet.
