Genshin Impact 3.0: How to get Collei for free

During the Summertime Odyssey event in Genshin Impact 2.8, players got the chance to get a free Fischl. In the recently released version 3.0, the game gives players the chance to recruit Collei for free. This 4-star Dendro character can be obtained without spending a single Primogem!

Of course, visiting a new region means getting a new element for the Traveler, the Dendro Traveler in this case. Moreover, a new 5-star character, Tighnari, is currently on the limited-time banner. However, if you want a Dendro character other than the Traveler and are saving Primogems for the next banners, Collei is your best choice! Then, you can trigger those awesome Dendro Elemental Reactions!

Now, the question is: How exactly can you get Collei for free? Here’s how.

Here’s how you can get Collei for free in Genshin Impact 3.0

To obtain Collei for free, you need to take the quest called Graven Innocence. If you’re unsure how to take this quest, check your Events Overview page from the Paimon Menu. There, you should find Graven Innocence.

Take note that this quest requires you to:

  • reach Adventure Rank 20 or above.
  • complete “The Trail of the God of Wisdom” part of Chapter 3: Act 1 – “Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark” Archon Quest.

Another important thing you should note is that this event ends on September 28th, 2022. This means that by that time, Collei will no longer be obtainable for free.

If you’re a new player and want to obtain Collei for free, you can do so as long as your Adventure Rank is at least 20 and you have finished Archon Quest Prologue: Act I in Mondstadt. Sumeru isn’t a closed nation like Inazuma, so you can simply walk over there from Mondstadt. However, remember to go back to the Archon Quests later for the best Genshin Impact experience story-wise.

As for getting Collei for free, you don’t have to complete puzzles or get some type of currency. You can obtain her by simply progressing through the Graven Innocence quest’s story.

When you begin the quest, the marker should tell you to go to a craft store in Port Ormos. After that, you’ll need to go back to Gandharva Ville. Here, you’ll find Collei; after a cutscene, a notification will pop up on your screen that you have obtained her.
