Genshin Impact Tighnari Build Guide: Weapons, Artifact Sets, Roles, Talents, Constellations, and more

Genshin Impact - Tighnari Build Guide - Weapons, Teams, Artifacts

Tighnari is a playable 5-star Dendro character in Genshin Impact. Well-versed in botany, he currently serves as a Forest Watcher in Avidya Forest, a miracle for those who meet misfortunes in its dense vegetation.

This young Dendro character has fox-like features such as a fluffy tail and notably huge pointy ears that even Collei wants to pet. Despite his appearance, he is a master of the bow and has an impressive talent for guiding even his dullest pupils.

This guide will discuss Tighnari‘s talents, constellations, recommended roles, best weapons, artifact sets, and more! So, if you want to add this character to your team, read on.

Tighnari’s Talents and Priority

Tighnari‘s damage output is primarily reliant on his Charged Attacks. To compensate his need for charging time, he has a fantastic crowd control capability with his Elemental Skill. Moreover, his Elemental Burst, which deals massive damage, is quite spammable at only 40 energy cost!

Because of this, we recommend maxing his Talents in the following order:

  • 1st Priority – Normal Attack
  • 2nd Priority – Elemental Burst
  • 3rd Priority – Elemental Skill

For more details about his Talents, be sure to check out the table below:

Normal Attack – Khanda Barrier-BusterNormal Attack
Perform up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.

Charged Attack
Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, the power of Dendro will accumulate on the arrowhead before the arrow is fired. Has different effects based on how long the energy has been charged:
– Charge Level 1: Tighnari fires a Dendro-infused arrow that deals Dendro DMG.
– Charge Level 2: Tighnari fires a Wreath Arrow that deals Dendro DMG. Upon hit, the Wreath Arrow will create 4 Clusterbloom Arrows that will track nearby opponents automatically and deal Dendro DMG.

Plunging Attack
Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG on impact.
Elemental Skill – Vijnana-Phala MineTighnari throws a Vijnana Stormheart ahead of him that deals AoE Dendro DMG and creates a Vijnana-Khanda Field, which summons strange illusions to taunt enemies and draw their fire.

Additionally, Tighnari gains the Vijnana Suffusion effect, which will decrease the Wreath Arrow‘s charging time by 2.4s. This effect will dissipate once the skill duration ends or after Tighnari has fired 3 Wreath Arrows.
Elemental Burst – Fashioner’s Tanglevine ShaftCombines the power of all seeds to fire 6 Tanglevine Shafts that can track opponents and deal Dendro DMG.

After they hit, the Tanglevine Shafts will create a secondary wave of Tanglevine Shafts that can also track opponents and deal Dendro DMG on hit.
1st Ascension Passive – Keen SightAfter Tighnari fires a Wreath Arrow, his Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for 4s.
4th Ascension Passive – Scholarly BladeFor every point of Elemental Mastery Tighnari possesses, his Charged Attack and Fashioner’s Tanglevine Shaft DMG are increased by 0.06%.

The maximum DMG Bonus obtainable this way is 60%.

Constellations and Effects

Tighnari‘s Constellations have valuable effects, but the most notable ones are perhaps C2 and C4. C2 increases his Dendro damage, and C4 increases all party members’ Elemental Mastery.

If you’re new to the game, Constellations are acquired when you get another character copy.

Recommended Roles and Teams for Tighnari

Tighnari‘s Talents and Constellations are geared toward dealing more Dendro damage. He also needs to stay on the field for a long time, considering that he needs to do Charged Attacks. Therefore, we highly recommend him as a Main DPS.

For Dendro Elemental Resonance, you can team him up with Collei or the Dendro Traveler. Both characters can be a great Sub-DPS or Support because of their buffs and off-field Dendro DMG. For more information, you might want to check out our Collei Build Guide here.

We also recommend adding at least one Electro character to the team who is a great off-field Electro applicator. Examples are the 4-star character Fischl and the 5-star character Raiden Shogun.

Of course, you also need a healer. We recommend a healer who can trigger Dendro Elemental Reactions, but we’d like to mention Kuki Shinobu. Not only can she heal, but with her and another Electro character in the team, you also get the Electro Elemental Resonance.

With this team, your main Dendro Elemental Reactions are Quicken and Spread. If you still don’t know how these reactions work, check out our Dendro Elemental Reactions guide here.

However, if you’d like to focus on another reaction, feel free to team Tighnari up with other characters.

Recommended Weapons for Tighnari

Tignari‘s BiS (Best in slot) weapon is his signature weapon called Hunter’s Path, which you can get from the Epitome Invocation Banner for a limited time. With its Elemental DMG bonus and whopping CRIT Rate, you’ll surely deal massive Dendro DMG on enemies. Moreover, this weapon enhances Charged Attacks based on Tighnari‘s Elemental Mastery. Again, he will need to use his Charged Attacks for optimal damage. This is great since Elemental Mastery is something that Tighnari should have a decent amount of.

However, if you don’t have his BiS, you can opt for the Battle Pass weapon, The Viridescent Hunt. Its Skill Effect will allow you to deal more damage over time while increasing Tighnari‘s crowd control capabilities on top of his Elemental Skill. If you like to play aesthetically, this 4-star bow’s design and color scheme suit Tighnari perfectly.

Lastly, our F2P (free-to-play) recommendation is The Stringless. It provides Tighnari with more Elemental Mastery while also increasing his Skill and Burst DMG.

Recommended Artifact Sets and Stat Priority for Tighnari

Below are Tighnari‘s recommended artifact sets:

ARTIFACT SETEFFECTS
Deepwood Memories x4– 15% Dendro DMG Bonus
– After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets’ Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.
Wanderer’s Troupe x4– Elemental Mastery +80
– Charged Attack DMG +35% if the character uses a Catalyst or a Bow

The Deepwood Memories set is highly recommended for Tighnari as it increases his Dendro DPS potential. However, this can only be obtained from the Spire of Solitary Enlightenment in Sumeru. If you have no decent artifacts for this set or none at all, you can go for the Wanderer’s Troupe instead. With this alternative, Tighnari will surely benefit from the additional Elemental Mastery and the Charged Attack DMG bonus.

As for his artifact stat priority, we recommend the following:

  • Sands – ATK% or Elemental Mastery
  • Goblet – Dendro DMG Bonus%
  • Circlet – CRIT Damage or CRIT Rate

That’s everything you need to know about building Tighnari! We hope that our recommendations will help you along the way.
