Genshin Impact 3.0: How to unlock the Dendro Traveler

With a new region comes a new element for the Traveler to obtain, and Sumeru in Genshin Impact is no different, so here’s how to unlock the Dendro Traveler.

Of course, you may not actually use the Traveler in your teams. If the previous Geo version of the Traveler is any indication, however, even in that case unlocking the new element can be useful for a handful of puzzles or specific team compositions. It’s also likely to be required by the story in any case.

If it has been a while since you unlocked your last new element for your Traveler like it has been for me, you might not realise how to unlock the Dendro Traveler at first, so here’s a helping hand.

How to unlock the Dendro Traveler in Sumeru

To unlock the Dendro Traveler in Genshin Impact 3.0, the absolute first thing you need to do is arrive in Sumeru. If you’ve managed to enter the new region already, then next up you’ll need to adjust your team to include the Traveler, as the interaction requires that they be the actively played character.

Enter the Paimon Menu – on PC this is done by pressing the ESC key – then head into the party setup menu. Adjust your team to include the Traveler if they are not already part of it. From there, you’ll need to head over to the nearest Statue of the Seven within the borders of Sumeru, though one is almost immediately available, making this quite easy.

When you’ve found it, you simply need to interact with the statue. Doing so with any other character will only provide options to Worship the Statue, manage the blessing, or leave.

If you correctly interact with it using the Traveler, however, a fourth option will appear. Resonate with Dendro, this option is how to unlock the Dendro Traveler in Genshin Impact 3.0.

Selecting Resonate with Dendro will unlock the Dendro version of the Traveler immediately, and swap them to the Dendro element on the spot. If your team is reliant on a particular version of the Traveler, you may wish to plan accordingly.
