The Fortnite update today is v43.00, released on Sunday, 1 November 2026. Treasure Hunters is live, with a new Battle Royale island, One Piece powers, fresh weapons and new Sprites. If you haven’t played for a few days, there’s a lot to catch up on.

The scheduled server maintenance has finished, too. Whether you’re trying to get into a match, wondering what’s changed or looking for the next event, here are the details Epic has confirmed.

Is There a Fortnite Update Today, 1 November 2026?

Yes. The Fortnite update today is version 43.00, which launches Treasure Hunters after Override and Fortnitemares. There’s a new map, a new Battle Pass and a whole new loot pool. This is a seasonal update, not just a change to the Item Shop.

The patch is available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC and supported mobile devices. Download sizes vary between platforms, so check your own update queue rather than relying on a size quoted for another system.

Fortnite Update Today: Are Servers Back Online?

Yes. Epic Games marked v43.00 maintenance complete at 08:12 UTC on 1 November. Downtime began at 05:00 UTC, with matchmaking disabled 30 minutes earlier. When checked for this article, Epic’s status page listed Fortnite game services, login and matchmaking as operational.

These are maintenance completion times, not a guarantee that everyone could connect at that exact minute. If you’re still seeing ‘servers not responding’, let the download finish, restart Fortnite and check Epic’s live status before attempting to reinstall the game.

Fortnite Update Today: v43.00 Patch Notes and Changes

Crossbones Isle is the biggest addition in the Fortnite update today. The new 80-player island includes Arlong Park, Windmill Village, Baratie Bay, Loguetown and Fort Fortuna. You can fire yourself across the map using cannons, or head to the $.$. Rocky battleship to take on A$AP Rocky, the season’s first boss, for a chance at his Shock Rocket.

The One Piece crossover brings plenty to fight with. Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit adds stretchy attacks and movement, Ace’s Flame-Flame Fruit lets you fight with fire, Zoro’s Three Sword Style is built for close encounters, and Usopp’s Slingshot handles longer shots. The Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle and Gilded Dragoon Shotgun also join the loot pool, alongside Nami’s Tangerine and Meat on a Stick.

The Battle Pass features Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin, plus anime-style versions of Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader and Charlotte. Gift the Battle Pass to a friend and, provided you meet the gifting requirements, Epic says you’ll both receive a Dark Kawaii Team Leader Outfit style.

New Sprites, Weapons and Gameplay Changes

There are 11 new Sprites in the Fortnite update today, including Re-Pete, Chester, Wayfinder, Exmarks and Lil’ Flacko. Some reveal treasure or reward extra loot; others help with movement and reload speed. Wanted Posters lead to buried Sprite Chests, while mastering 40 Sprites unlocks the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella.

Gold Bars have been vaulted in Treasure Hunters Battle Royale. That means Follower services are now free and normal Vending Machines have gone, although Pocket-O-Matics remain in Zero Build. Returning weapons include the Sentinel Pump Shotgun, Auto Shotgun, Flint-Knock Pistol, Hammer Assault Rifle and Tactical SMG. The Golden Apple now restores 40 effective health instead of 50 HP, with excess healing going into shields.

Epic has fixed issues with reconnecting as a spectator, matchmaking from inside a match and Reboot Van interruptions. On PC, Dynamic 3D Resolution now works with DLSS. On mobile, you can move and resize the Pocket Item slot separately in the HUD Layout Tool. A$AP Rocky’s Shock Rocket and the Explosive Cannon Ball are available only in non-Competitive play.

When Is the Next Fortnite Update?

There are more Treasure Hunters additions coming, but Epic hasn’t confirmed a new game download for each one. The first Captain’s Day is scheduled for 1 November at 9 am ET (2 pm GMT). Further Captain’s Days are set for 7, 12, 14 and 21 November, bringing more captains, weapons and Sprites.

Mastery Mondays begin at 9 am ET and offer double Sprite XP and Sprite Dust throughout the day. Treasure Hours Sundays bring other seasonal bonuses. Epic has also teased a Chapter 7 end event for Saturday, 5 December 2026, although the announcement doesn’t give a start time. A Captain’s Day doesn’t automatically mean another patch or server shutdown.

How to Check and Install the Latest Fortnite Update

On PlayStation, Xbox or Switch, open your game library and select the option to check Fortnite for updates if a download hasn’t started automatically. On PC, open the Epic Games Launcher and find Fortnite in your Library. Mobile players should use the installation method supported by their device and region.

Once you’ve installed the Fortnite update today, restart the game if it was already open. If you can log in but can’t join a match, check the server status before deleting or reinstalling anything. It may be a wider problem rather than your device.
