Fortnite Treasure Hunters Sprites add 11 characters to the collection, from Re-Pete’s faster reloads to Exmarks’ treasure tracking. Some are handy in a fight, others help you find loot, and a few are built for the water around Crossbones Isle.
Below are the 11 companions Epic announced for launch, what they do and how to find them. There are also new Fortune and Cursed variants to look out for, and Lil’ Flacko has its own Boss drop.
Fortnite Treasure Hunters Sprites: All 11 Abilities
These are the 11 base Treasure Hunters Sprites confirmed at launch. Each has its own power, with several abilities becoming stronger as you level up.

| New Sprite | Confirmed ability | Best reason to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Halfpeel’d | Marks eliminations on the map. Its detection range grows each time it levels up. | Tracking fights and deciding which areas to avoid. |
| Re-Pete | Reloads faster, with a chance to refund some ammunition. | Gunfights where saving ammo and reloading quickly matter. |
| Barry O’Fish | Uses less stamina while sprinting through water. Grants the Slap effect at maximum level. | Crossing waterways without draining stamina so quickly. |
| Exmarks | Reveals nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters. Creates a Treasure Map at maximum level. | Finding the clues that lead to more treasure. |
| Plundarrgh | Opening Chests increases Pickaxe and movement speed. | Moving quickly through an area while opening loot. |
| Chester | Can produce extra loot from Chests and prevents fall damage. | Loot runs and riskier vertical routes. |
| Wayfinder | Reveals other nearby Sprites and adds extra loot from Buried Chests. | Building your Sprite collection. |
| Kelper | Gradually restores health while you are in water, with better healing at higher levels. | Recovering health on water-heavy routes. |
| Lil’ Squibbly | Lets you jump into fishing holes to catch fish and collect extra loot. | Fishing and supply gathering. |
| Lil’ Flacko | Creates a small shockwave when you land, knocking opponents back. | Landing near enemies or breaking up a close fight. |
| Sweet Dreams | Gives a random item whenever it levels up, with Mythic loot at maximum level. | Extra items and a valuable max-level reward. |
Fortnite Treasure Hunters Sprites: Fortune, Cursed and Gold
Fortune and Cursed add another twist to your collection. Fortune reveals nearby Chests. Cursed improves your chances of finding rare Sprite variants, but makes water dangerous because it damages you.
Gold Sprites return on Thursday, November 12. They give extra XP when you eliminate opponents. That is a later arrival, so don’t confuse an older Gold Sprite image with the new November collection.
Base Sprites and special finishes appear as separate collection entries, but an entry on a tracker isn’t proof that it can drop in today’s matches. Check the availability shown in Fortnite before hunting a specific finish. More Sprites and Gold versions are arriving as the season progresses.
How to Find Fortnite Treasure Hunters Sprites
The main Treasure Hunters Sprites route starts with Wanted Posters. Find one on a wall, tear it down to reveal a Sprite Treasure Map, and follow that map to a buried Sprite Chest. Uncover the Chest, open it and see which Sprite you get.
There is another way to get Lil’ Flacko. Defeat A$AP Rocky aboard the $.$. Rocky and the Boss can drop that Sprite alongside his Shock Rocket. Epic says it can drop, so the fight isn’t a guaranteed Lil’ Flacko reward.
Once you’ve found a Sprite, you can equip it for its ability and work on its mastery. If you’re unsure how to keep a Sprite for your collection, our Sprite mastery walkthrough covers the extraction steps.
Exmarks is worth using for that hunt because it detects nearby Wanted Posters and Treasure Maps. Wayfinder takes a different approach, pointing out nearby Sprites. The two are useful when you’re collecting more than just one character.
Sprite Stamps and the New Collection Screen
The Sprites screen can now show this season’s characters in numbered order, which makes checking your Treasure Hunters Sprites collection easier.
Each Sprite also displays a Sprite Stamp showing how you acquired it. Choose View Info to see what the Stamps mean. It’s a useful change if you are trying to remember where a particular Sprite came from.

Best Fortnite Treasure Hunters Sprites to Use First
For collecting, look for Exmarks and Wayfinder. Exmarks reveals Wanted Posters and Treasure Maps, while Wayfinder helps you locate nearby Sprites. Chester is a good all-round option if you’re opening a lot of Chests, particularly because it prevents fall damage.
For combat, Re-Pete’s reload boost is easy to make use of, and Lil’ Flacko adds knockback when you land. Kelper and Barry O’Fish are better suited to watery routes: one restores health, while the other reduces stamina use when sprinting through water.
The Treasure Hunters Sprites also count towards the returning mastery system. Open the Treasure tab in the Lobby for the weekly rewards. Mastering 40 Sprites earns the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella; simply finding 40 isn’t the same thing.
More Captain’s Days are scheduled for November 7, 12, 14 and 21, with more Sprites expected as the season continues. Our existing picture checklist covers earlier Sprites and is separate from this November lineup.
