How to get the Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin
To get the Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin, head to the Fortnite Item Shop and look for the Borderlands section.
Psycho Bandit is currently priced at 2,000 V-Bucks in Epic Games’ Item Shop.
Unlike many Fortnite outfits that can be purchased individually for 1,200 or 1,500 V-Bucks, Psycho Bandit has historically been tied to its own Borderlands offering, which helps explain the higher price.
If you have been waiting for the skin to return, this is the simplest route: purchase Psycho Bandit directly while the Borderlands section is live.
How much is the Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin?
The Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin costs 2,000 V-Bucks.
That makes it more expensive than a standard Rare or Epic Fortnite Outfit, but Psycho Bandit is also one of Fortnite’s older licensed gaming cosmetics and has spent long periods away from the Item Shop between returns.
Epic’s current store lists Psycho Bandit at 2,000 V-Bucks alongside Mad Moxxi and several Borderlands cosmetics.
Is Psycho Bandit back in Fortnite?
Yes. The Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin is back in the Item Shop.
The Borderlands section currently includes Psycho Bandit alongside Mad Moxxi and several themed cosmetics, including the Underdome Megaphone, Moxxi’s Tip Jar and Borderlands weapon Wraps.
Psycho Bandit originally arrived in Fortnite in 2019, making the skin one of the older gaming crossover outfits still capable of returning to the shop.
Its return is particularly well timed with Borderlands once again getting fresh Fortnite attention during Chapter 7 Season 4.
What is included with the Psycho Bandit skin?
The Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin is based on Borderlands’ iconic Psycho enemies and keeps the cel-shaded visual style associated with the series.
Psycho Bandit has previously been associated with Borderlands-themed cosmetics rather than simply appearing as an isolated Fortnite character.
The current Item Shop listing places Psycho Bandit alongside a broader Borderlands collection, although the exact items bundled with a purchase can vary depending on how Epic packages the offer during each rotation.
Always check the purchase screen before confirming so you can see exactly what is included with the current version of the offer.
Who is Psycho Bandit in Borderlands?
Psycho Bandits are some of the most recognisable enemies in the Borderlands series.
The masked Psycho became closely associated with the franchise through its box art and promotional material, which made the character a natural choice when Fortnite first collaborated with Borderlands.
That recognisable design is also why the Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin has remained memorable despite Fortnite adding hundreds of other crossover outfits since its original release.
When did Psycho Bandit first come to Fortnite?
The Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin first appeared during Fortnite’s original Borderlands crossover in 2019.
That collaboration brought Borderlands into Fortnite during the Pandora-themed event and established Psycho Bandit as one of the game’s earliest major gaming crossover outfits.
Since then, the skin has returned periodically rather than remaining permanently available.
That makes each Borderlands Item Shop rotation useful for anyone who missed it during earlier appearances.
Is Psycho Bandit rare in Fortnite?
Psycho Bandit is not permanently exclusive, but it can still feel relatively uncommon because it does not remain in the Item Shop all year.
The Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin has spent long stretches unavailable between Borderlands promotions, which means players cannot simply purchase it whenever they want.
Its 2019 debut also gives it a bit of old-school Fortnite crossover appeal.
However, because the skin can return to the Item Shop, it should not be treated as permanently rare or unobtainable.
Is Psycho Bandit part of the new Borderlands Fortnite collab?
Psycho Bandit is an older Fortnite Borderlands skin rather than a brand-new Chapter 7 Season 4 Outfit.
However, its current return places it directly alongside Fortnite’s latest Borderlands activity.
The Item Shop is currently carrying Psycho Bandit and Mad Moxxi, while additional Borderlands content is also attracting attention around the latest Override crossover schedule.
That makes this a particularly good time for players who want to build a larger Borderlands Fortnite collection.
When will the Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin leave?
Epic Games has not provided a guaranteed long-term end date for the current Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin rotation.
Fortnite Item Shop sections can remain available for several days before disappearing, and licensed collaboration cosmetics often return only when Epic and the rights holder bring the partnership back into rotation.
If Psycho Bandit is one of the skins you specifically want, it is safer to purchase it while the Borderlands section is currently available rather than relying on another quick return.
Is the Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin worth getting?
For Borderlands fans, the Fortnite Psycho Bandit skin remains one of the most recognisable crossover outfits Epic has released.
Its cel-shaded design stands out from many standard Fortnite skins, while the character has enough history in both Borderlands and Fortnite to make it more than just another shop rotation.
At 2,000 V-Bucks, it is not one of the cheapest outfits available, so the value will largely depend on how much you like Borderlands.
For anyone who has been waiting specifically for Psycho Bandit to return, though, the current Item Shop rotation gives you another chance to finally add the skin to your Locker.
