Fisch Treats are the Halloween currency used for limited-time shop items, ritual materials and other rewards in FischFright 3. The fastest way to earn them is to combine the sixteen trick-or-treat houses on Caustic Hallow with fishing in active Frightful Pools. You can earn additional Fisch Treats by completing the larger NPC questlines and selling event catches you no longer need.
Anyone can start Fisch Treats farming with the Candy Bucket. You do not need one of the new rods to collect currency, although a rod that reels quickly makes Frightful Pools more rewarding. This guide explains the reported payouts, house cooldowns, repeatable route and the big purchases worth saving for before you spend your Treats on cosmetics.
How to start farming Fisch Treats on Caustic Hallow
Go to the eastern docks at Moosewood and board the green-glowing Flying Dutchman. Speak to the captain and choose the trip to Caustic Hallow, the 2026 Halloween event island. Once there, equip the Candy Bucket from your inventory. The decorated village houses let you knock when the bucket is equipped. Other NPCs on the island pay quest rewards or buy Halloween catches.

For some free Fisch Treats, try the code FischFright2026, which was released with 226 Treats, 2,026 C$, a Doomsekkar bobber and Jack-o-Statue lantern. Codes can expire, so check the current Fisch codes list before counting on those rewards. Enter the code in Fisch’s own redemption menu using the exact capitalisation.

1. Rotate through all sixteen houses
Trick-or-treating is the simplest Fisch Treats method for most players. Walk to a numbered house with the Candy Bucket equipped, interact with the door and choose Treat for a reported guaranteed payout of 15 to 30 Treats. The Trick choice is riskier: guides report a 45% chance to receive 60 Treats, with a failed attempt sometimes triggering a jump scare and removing around 1,000–2,000 normal C$. If you just want reliable currency, choose Treat.
The trick to effective Fisch Treats farming is moving between houses, not waiting outside one. After a knock, that door is unavailable for approximately seven to eight minutes. Keep walking to the next house and work your way through the village’s sixteen different doors. This route also advances Webby Winston’s quest, which asks you to visit all sixteen houses before purchasing his rod. Our Webweaver Rod walkthrough explains the other two requirements, catching Cobweb Cod and Webbed fish.
2. Catch fish in active Frightful Pools
When the server announces a Frightful Pool, travel to the temporary fishing area and cast into its marked water. Each successful pool catch reportedly gives around five Treats. The pool lasts roughly ten minutes, making speed and reliable catches useful. Grim, Vile, Doomed and Eldritch pools can also help you collect Halloween fish, skulls and relics for other progression. Catches outside the marked pool should not be counted on for the same rewards.
Fisch Treats earned from pools fit particularly well with the Doomsekkar Rod quest. Doomsekkar wants 100 catches inside Frightful Pools and a streak of 50 consecutive perfect catches there. You can make progress towards both goals while earning currency, provided you fish in the active zone. The Doomsekkar quest guide has the ghost minigame instructions and streak requirements so you can avoid resetting a run.
3. Complete the bigger NPC quests
NPC quest payments can be an excellent early boost to your Fisch Treats balance, even though most are not repeatable. Pumpkin Pete’s quests reward 2,500 Treats and Gourdemort’s Rose, after five trick-or-treats, five candy fish, Jack-o-Angler and donations to four lanterns. Dullahan rewards 3,000 Treats and Fable Rose once you complete the six mansion residents’ requests, find the heirloom and catch Dobhar. These roses are valuable later for the Cemetery rituals.
The Youngster Goblin also awards 800 Treats and the Boglin Branch rod. His quest involves three Normal-or-harder goblin challenges, ten Witch’s Ingredients and three specific Boglin parts. Work on the Boglin Branch quest when goblins appear rather than saving every challenge for later. The Pumpkin King and Doomsekkar quests also offer Treats alongside their main rewards, so accepting several NPC quests early is more efficient than farming only doors.
4. Open Frightful Caskets and sell duplicates
Frightful Caskets can come from quest rewards or Halloween fishing, including catches targeted with Magnet bait. Their contents vary, so treat them as a bonus instead of a guaranteed Treats-per-minute method. You can also sell surplus event fish at the Frightful Merchant on Caustic Hallow. A lot of fish sell for modest amounts, but cashing in safe duplicates can close the gap when you need to afford a particular shop item.
Be careful with this Fisch Treats shortcut. The later Cemetery rituals require unusual mutations of Jagged Bone and other limited fish, and replacing a sold rare catch can take far longer than earning the Treats another way. Use the full list of eleven Cemetery ritual recipes to identify what to retain. Set aside the named fish and mutations before selling what remains.
Fastest repeatable Fisch Treats route
Begin with a full house circuit while your Candy Bucket is equipped. Choose Treat for reliable earnings and note which houses are on cooldown. After visiting the sixteen doors, look for an active Frightful Pool and fish it until it disappears. If there is no pool, spend the downtime completing nearby NPC objectives, opening a Casket or selling spare event catches. By then, the earliest houses should become available again. Continue around the village instead of standing still.
This Fisch Treats rotation also helps with multiple unlocks: Webby Winston counts your houses, Pumpkin Pete needs trick-or-treat visits and Doomsekkar wants pool fish. If your rod is slow or you find perfect catches stressful, emphasise houses and quests; if you have a fast fishing setup, prioritise active pools while they last. Either way, keep the Halloween Quest Book open so your progress is recorded.

What to buy first with Fisch Treats
The Flying Dutchman merchant sells several purchases that matter to the late questline. Dutchman’s Grasp costs 25,000 Treats, Omniscient Souls costs 10,000 Treats, and Davy’s Rose costs 5,000 Treats. Those purchases alone total 40,000 Treats if you intend to work towards both late ritual rods. Grasp and Souls are among the required ritual offerings; Davy’s Rose is one of the items needed for the Cemetery’s Skeleton Hands.
Other items include the 15,000-Treat Jack-o-Moon Totem and a 3,000-Treat Frightful Pool Totem. Consider which unlock you actually want before spending on masks and bobbers. For the flower locations and why the roses matter, use the FischFright 3 Ritual Roses guide. The FischFright 3 event guide covers travel, event timing and the wider Halloween activities.
Why am I not getting Fisch Treats?
First check the Candy Bucket: without it equipped, you may not see the correct door interaction. If a house has already paid out, try a different door while its cooldown runs. For pool fishing, make sure your bobber lands inside the actual active zone, not in nearby ordinary water. Fish sales are a different system from Frightful Pool catch rewards, so you should not expect the same fixed payout for every species you sell.
With that routine, Fisch Treats farming becomes part of normal event progression. You earn steady currency from houses, collect bonus Treats while fishing for Doomsekkar and use the big quest payouts for the expensive ritual purchases. Keep rare fish and Witch’s Ingredients for their quests, and you can work towards the Halloween rods without undoing your own progress.
