Fisch Webweaver Rod is the fishing rod locked behind Webby Winston’s quest in the Webridden Cavern during FischFright 3. You must trick-or-treat at 16 numbered houses, catch ten fish with the Webbed mutation inside the cavern and collect fifteen Cobweb Cod. Completing all three objectives opens a hidden room where the rod costs 1,000 Treats.
Webby Winston pays you exactly 1,000 Treats for finishing the quest, which means you can buy the rod without a separate currency grind. The difficult part is keeping track of the houses and fishing in the correct cavern pool. Here’s the route through both halves of the unlock.
Where to find the Fisch Webweaver Rod quest
Travel from Moosewood to Caustic Hallow on the Flying Dutchman. Board the ghost ship at Moosewood’s eastern dock, speak to the Event-marked crew member and select Set sail!. Once on the Halloween island, head beneath the village into Webridden Cavern, the cave filled with webs and glowing green water.
Talk to the giant spider called Webby Winston to accept FischFright 2026: Webby Winston. The Quest Book shows the house visits and the two fishing totals. Completing only the fishing challenges will not open the Fisch Webweaver Rod room; you need every house as well.

All three objectives can be completed in either order. The Fisch Webweaver Rod unlock depends on the Quest Book counters, so check whether your latest catch registered before leaving the cavern. Fish caught with the Webbed mutation somewhere else don’t count towards the Webridden Cavern objective.
All 16 trick-or-treat houses for Webby Winston
The village houses have numbers beside their entrances. You need to trick-or-treat once at each different house, not sixteen times at the same door. Walk through the village, interact with each door and select the trick-or-treat option. The house objective tracks each number separately.

For the Fisch Webweaver Rod, numbers 111 and 666 count just like the other fourteen addresses. Work through the table systematically, checking the Quest Book if a house refuses another interaction. When all sixteen have registered, the house section of Webby Winston’s quest is complete and you can return to the cave fishing objectives.
Where to catch ten Webbed fish
Fish in the glowing green pool inside Webridden Cavern. The quest only counts fish with the Webbed mutation caught here, so ordinary catches won’t move the 10/10 total. Keep casting in the cavern until the mutated catch count is full. A Fish Radar can help confirm you’re using the intended fishing spot.
The Fisch Webweaver Rod is associated with the Webbed mutation and its spider effects, but you don’t need to own the rod before beginning this quest. The cavern itself provides the route to the required Webbed catches. If progress isn’t moving, check the name and mutation on the fish you actually landed.
How to catch fifteen Cobweb Cod
Stay at the same Webridden Cavern fishing water and collect 15 Cobweb Cod. These catches contribute to the other half of the fishing quest. You can make progress on Cobweb Cod and Webbed fish during the same session, so there’s no advantage in leaving the cavern to hunt a second water source.
When both counters read 10/10 Webbed fish and 15/15 Cobweb Cod, make sure the house visit counter also shows 16/16. If you still have a missing address, finish that before travelling back to Webby Winston to claim the Fisch Webweaver Rod unlock.
How to unlock and buy the Fisch Webweaver Rod
Return to Webby Winston and choose the dialogue saying you’ve completed all his tasks. The silk barrier dissolves, opening the deeper rod room. The quest pays 1,000 Treats and 8,000 XP, which you receive before purchasing the rod. Cross into the newly accessible chamber and look for the glowing red rod resting on its web-covered platform.
Interact with the rod and confirm the 1,000 Treats purchase. You’ll see the unlock confirmation and can equip it from your Fishing Rods inventory. Keep the Treats earned from the quest until you make that purchase, otherwise you’ll have to earn enough through other Halloween activities.
What does the Fisch Webweaver Rod do?
Equipping the Webweaver Rod summons three small spiders that follow you. They can help during catches by biting the hooked fish, and they sometimes create a web underneath you while fishing. Standing on the web increases your chance of catching fish with the Webbed mutation, making this a useful rod for farming that effect after unlocking it.
