EA FC 27 David Luiz Evolution arrives on 1 November 2026 as a Club Member reward. It offers three Hall of FUT pathways inspired by different points in David Luiz’s career, each upgrading an eligible Ultimate Team Player Item you already own. You qualify by playing FC 26 and FC 27 online with the same EA Account before 7 AM GMT on 1 November.
The deadline is for becoming a Club Member, not for finishing the Evolution. EA says eligible players can complete the David Luiz upgrade at their own pace once it becomes available. Your bigger decision is which card to use and which attributes you want to improve, as each path has caps and level choices become fixed once claimed.
How to unlock the EA FC 27 David Luiz Evolution
EA’s official terms put the deadline at 12:00 AM Pacific Time on Sunday 1 November, equivalent to 7 AM GMT in the UK. Both games must be the full versions and the logins must use the same EA Account while connected to the internet. The Companion App and trials, including EA Play Trial, do not count. Playing FC 27 by itself won’t qualify a new Club Member.
From 1 November, the EA FC 27 David Luiz Evolution appears in Evolutions > Rewards for eligible members. Choose a Player Item that meets the Evolution’s entry requirements, then select your first pathway. Check those live requirements and the preview before using a card you might otherwise sell or put into an SBC.

EA FC 27 David Luiz Evolution: the three pathways
The three choices serve different roles. The Finisher prioritises shooting and set pieces; The Champion focuses on defensive qualities; and A National Hero improves pace, aggression and passing out from the back. Your card’s starting stats matter because EA caps each attribute boost.

The Finisher draws on Luiz’s free kick against Colombia at the 2014 World Cup, adding Shooting, Free Kick Accuracy, Shot Power, Long Shots and the Dead Ball PlayStyle. The Champion takes inspiration from Chelsea’s 2012 Champions League win, with upgrades to Defending, Physical, Passing and Penalties, plus a defensive PlayStyle.
A National Hero reflects Luiz’s spell with Flamengo, including the 2022 Copa Libertadores victory. It upgrades Pace, Physical, Passing and Aggression with a build-up PlayStyle. That makes it the most obvious of the three to inspect for an eligible player who needs more mobility and passing, rather than better finishing.
Can you switch EA FC 27 David Luiz Evolution pathways?
Yes. You can change paths until you claim an Evolution level, including when you’re on that level’s claim screen. Claiming locks in the reward chosen for that level. It’s worth comparing the available options before confirming, because you can’t undo a level you’ve already claimed.
Use the Evolution Chain Preview to check possible upgrades beyond this Evolution. EA’s stat caps mean two eligible players can receive different effective improvements along the same path. A player already close to the cap may gain less than you expect from a headline attribute boost.
What happens to your Player Item?
Submitting a Player Item makes it untradeable while the Evolution is applied. You also can’t discard it or submit it into Squad Building Challenges while the Evolution is in progress. Check that you’re happy to commit that card before starting.

For the EA FC 27 David Luiz Evolution, pick a path based on the card’s job in your team. The Finisher is worth comparing for free kicks, The Champion suits a defending-first player, and A National Hero may work better for a centre-back who needs more pace and passing.
Before claiming a level, check the numbers for your own Player Item instead of assuming every card will reach the same final stats.
