Darktide Allies and Adversaries is the limited event running alongside Depths of the Damned until October 13. Fatshark ties progress to the new connected campaign and confirms rewards including Plasteel, Ordo Dockets, Diamantine and a new Insignia, giving returning players a reason to work through the story while the event is still active.
The important distinction is that Darktide Allies and Adversaries is not the same thing as the permanent free update. Spillway, Prophet of Decay and the new weapons remain part of Darktide, while this reward track has a deadline and should be prioritised by anyone who wants the cosmetic.
How to complete Darktide Allies and Adversaries
Play the Terrors in the Depths campaign missions while the event is active. The connected sequence uses Consignment Yard, Enclavum Baross and Spillway, so players can progress the event while following the story from the familiar opening missions into the new finale.
Fatshark’s announcement says to play all of the campaign missions to progress. That means a player who only farms Spillway should not assume the boss mission automatically replaces every part of the event requirement.

Darktide Allies and Adversaries rewards
The confirmed reward types are Plasteel, Ordo Dockets, Diamantine and a new Insignia. Fatshark has not attached a full numerical reward ladder to the public event announcement used here, so do not rely on a third-party table that invents exact quantities without matching the live event screen.
Check the in-game event track for your current milestone and claim state. Materials are useful for normal progression, but the Insignia is the limited cosmetic that gives completionists the strongest reason to finish before the deadline.
When does Allies and Adversaries end?
Darktide Allies and Adversaries runs until October 13, 2026. The announcement does not present the event as a permanent campaign feature, so players should treat October 13 as the cutoff for finishing the limited reward track.
The Depths of the Damned update itself is not leaving on that date. You will still be able to play Spillway and fight the Prophet of Decay after the event ends unless Fatshark announces a separate change.
Which missions count?
The campaign sequence linked to Darktide Allies and Adversaries is Consignment Yard, Enclavum Baross and Spillway. The first two are familiar maps carrying new narrative context, while Spillway is the brand-new mission added with the update.
If progress is not moving after a normal mission elsewhere on the board, switch back to the campaign content rather than assuming the tracker is broken. The event description is specifically built around the Depths of the Damned story chain.
Do you need to beat Prophet of Decay?
Spillway is the third campaign mission and ends in the Prophet of Decay encounter, so completing the full story naturally means clearing that boss. On Damnation and above, remember that Hotfix 1.13.1 now requires a minimum of three tooth pillars during phase two.
If the boss is blocking event progress, there is no benefit in following launch-day advice that predates the hotfix. Use the current mechanic counts and take advantage of the adjusted exhausted windows for melee damage.
What should you prioritise before October 13?
Run the three campaign missions in order at least once, watch the event tracker and keep going until the Insignia milestone is complete. Materials can be earned elsewhere in Darktide, but a time-limited cosmetic is much harder to replace after the event closes.
After the limited portion of Darktide Allies and Adversaries is finished, you can return to Spillway for Penances, higher difficulties and boss practice without the same deadline pressure.
Darktide Allies and Adversaries should be completed before the permanent update content because the event has the October 13 deadline.
