Cronos The New Dawn Endings has three outcomes after the Pathfinder fight at the Clocktower. A and B can be unlocked during your first playthrough, while C requires New Game Plus. Each outcome has its own trophy or achievement.
You’ll find the exact dialogue choices, a route for both normal endings and the Essence achievements that can require another playthrough. The final battle and its outcomes are spoiled below.
Cronos The New Dawn Endings: All Three Choices
Ending A: After the Pathfinder battle, choose “Shoot Him. End it here.” This unlocks I Am Free. It’s one of the two normal endings.
Ending B: Choose “Spare Him. Let them go.” instead. This gives A Flicker Of Hope and is available without New Game Plus.
Ending C: Finish the story, start New Game Plus and defeat the Pathfinder again. Choose the extra option “Begin Anew.” to unlock Free From All The Scars, awarded for saving both Weronikas.
Get Both Normal Endings With One Clocktower Save
Make a manual save at the Clocktower before the last boss. Defeat the Pathfinder and select Ending A or B, then reload that save and repeat the fight to pick the opposite choice. There’s no need to replay the whole story to get both achievements.
The third Cronos The New Dawn Endings choice does not appear in a normal game. It becomes available only after progressing through New Game Plus to the final decision.
How to Unlock Ending C in New Game Plus
New Game Plus unlocks after your first completed campaign. It carries over weapons, ammunition, upgrades and Energy, while some healing and key items do not transfer. Hard difficulty also unlocks after a first clear.
Return to the Clocktower in that second run and choose Begin Anew. The Cronos The New Dawn Endings list then completes with A, B and C. You do not have to find a secret early-game dialogue option to add the final choice.
All Six Missable Achievements
Three are tied to Cronos The New Dawn Endings: I Am Free, A Flicker Of Hope and Free From All The Scars. The remaining three depend on Essences: The Orthodox, Punks Not Dead! and Togetherness.
The Orthodox: Finish with only Edward Wiśniewski, Artur Baryka and Dawid Zybert in your phylactery. At the Steelworks, choose Artur during the timed Baryka brothers decision; waiting causes Gabriel to be taken instead. Keep those three Essences until the ending.
Punks Not Dead!: Finish with Edward’s Essence still in the phylactery. Don’t overwrite it before the final choice. This can be completed alongside The Orthodox.
Togetherness: Hold Lidia Marzec, Marcel Marzec and Krzysztof Marzec in your phylactery together. You don’t need to finish the game with them, but don’t erase the first two before getting the third.
The Orthodox and Togetherness use different Essence loadouts, so the safest completion plan is to handle them on separate playthroughs. The Orthodox checks the appointed Essences at the ending, while Togetherness checks the Marzec Essences together earlier.
Cronos The New Dawn Endings: Marzec Essence Locations
For Togetherness, gather all three Marzec Essences and keep them in your phylactery at once. Their bodies are on optional routes:
- Lidia Marzec: At Station A, restore tram power and head inside. The Fallen Traveler is near the front of the train.
- Marcel Marzec: At Station B, obtain the Toy Store Key from the cat India and open the shop. Marcel is beside the Arbalest.
- Krzysztof Marzec: During your later visit to The Abbey, cross the gravity-jump section and duck under the fallen timber. Check the room on the left.
Taking Krzysztof with Lidia and Marcel still equipped awards Togetherness. New Game Plus is already required for Ending C, so the second playthrough is a good opportunity to collect them.
Other Trophies and the Best Completion Order
Shell Not Compromised requires finishing on Hard and You Never Give Up requires finishing New Game Plus. The Boon Of The Relics requires all seven collectible guns, while The Praetorian requires fully upgrading them.
For Cronos The New Dawn Endings completion, reload the Clocktower save for A and B in the first run. Keep Edward, Artur and Dawid for The Orthodox and Punks Not Dead! Use New Game Plus for Ending C, collecting all three Marzec Essences for Togetherness.
The Cronos The New Dawn Endings are selected after the Pathfinder fight, but Essence trophies depend on choices much earlier. Keep a manual save before key decisions so missing an Essence doesn’t mean another full playthrough.
