The dog’s white paw-print icon appears once you’re nearby, and Chowrap advertisements can help you spot the toy. Complete the CONTROL Resonant Mysterious Dog locations in whichever order the areas and your movement abilities allow. Later ones need Shift, Reach or a powered lift.

Downtown
Follow the road away from the Oldest House to the southwestern rooftop garden. The Dragon is on the roof across the street, next to a stairwell above the dog-food advert. Bring it back to the bed.
Central
Find the dog on the rooftop north of East Park Station. The toy lies at the end of the alley below her. Navigate the laser barriers and climb back up with it.
West Incursion Zone
From the Parking Garage, use Shift on the folded street to reach the dog’s altered-gravity rooftop. Check the air-conditioning unit on the next roof, near the Chowrap sign, then take the Dragon back.
Evacuation Zone
Find the red-lit rooftop northeast of the Sinkhole. Shift onto the inverted roof above the dog, take the toy from near the access doorway, then shift back to the bed.
The Park
From the dog north of the Mold Factory, look towards the higher roof with the yellow lift. Take electricity from the Power Core Station west of the dog, relay it through the intermediate rooftop boxes, then power the elevator. Ride up, collect the Dragon from the desk and return it.
Underpass
The dog waits high above the Research Site. Follow the red-carpet path and use Shift to reach the upside-down ceiling above her. Drop the Dragon through the opening towards the dog, then use Reach to return to the platform and deliver it.
Unknown
Progress Pope’s Research to reach the northwest island. From the dog’s garden roof, find the building opposite with the downward BAR sign. The toy is on its upper balcony; climb via the neighbouring gravity-shifted structure and carry it back.
All seven CONTROL Resonant Mysterious Dog locations count only when the toy is returned, not when you first spot the dog. Once every delivery registers, go to The Gap and interact with her again for the final reward.
CONTROL Resonant Mysterious Dog locations: finding and carrying toys
The dog is usually marked with a white paw-print symbol once you get close enough. The toy is always the same teal Dragon, so the search becomes easier after the first encounter.
Several later locations are movement checks rather than pure hidden-object searches. Underpass in particular benefits from Reach and Shift, while The Park uses a powered elevator route.
Completing the full chain unlocks the Dog’s Best Friend trophy and the Trusted Spanner Artifact. Hotfix 1.4.2, released October 8, fixed a bug that prevented the Artifact from being awarded after Notes: Every Dog Has Her Day. Remedy also added retroactive reward recovery for players who completed the quest without entering New Game+. The announced retroactive method does not cover players already in New Game+; Remedy has not confirmed an equivalent recovery for those saves.

If CONTROL Resonant Mysterious Dog locations is not behaving as expected, work through the checks below before restarting, reloading a much older save or spending more resources. Most problems at this point come from a missed prerequisite, an unregistered objective, the wrong item, or a route that only opens after later progression.
- If a toy seems impossible to reach, stop and check whether the current Zone expects a traversal ability you have not unlocked yet.
- If the dog does not register the return, carry the toy back to the bed area and drop it where the interaction can complete.
- If the final Gap interaction is missing, one of the seven regional dog encounters is still incomplete.
Check that the toy is in the dog’s bed before leaving the region. Finding the paw-print marker alone won’t complete that part of the quest.
