Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint is the DOOM-themed premium Event Pass blueprint for the Siren Special Weapon. It is not a new BFG base weapon added to the Black Ops 7 weapon list. The reward changes the appearance and configured blueprint package of an existing Special Weapon, which is important if you searched for a separate BFG weapon slot and could not find one. The route is the premium DOOM Event Pass, not the free track and not the Season 6 Battle Pass.
The live DOOM pass has ten aligned free and premium milestones. Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint appears on the premium side before the final Doom Guy reward, with the official reward order placing BFG after the Evisceration Finishing Move and before the Crucible Katana blueprint. Progress comes from normal player XP across Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone. You do not need BFG-themed kills, Siren kills or a hidden DOOM challenge to move toward it.
Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint: what the reward actually is
Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint is officially described as a Siren Special Weapon blueprint. That wording means the BFG theme sits on the Siren platform rather than introducing a fifth Season 6 base weapon. Blueprints can provide a preset visual and attachment package, but the underlying weapon family remains Siren. If a challenge asks for Siren kills or Special Weapon kills, using the BFG blueprint still means you are using a Siren blueprint rather than an entirely new class.
This distinction also stops two DOOM rewards being mixed up. The Roc 20mm is the new base Special Weapon on the free event track. Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint is premium cosmetic and blueprint content for the existing Siren. Unlocking the Roc does not unlock BFG, and buying premium does not replace the need to reach the BFG tier.
How to unlock the BFG reward
Activate the premium DOOM Event Pass for 1,100 COD Points, then earn event progress through normal player XP. The free and premium columns use one progression bar. You can play whichever supported mode suits you, and the premium reward at each reached milestone becomes claimable alongside the free reward at that same tier.
Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint does not require you to purchase the separate DOOM store bundle. It also does not come from the Blackjack Season 6 Battle Pass. Open Events, choose the DOOM pass and follow the premium column. If you upgrade to premium after already moving through the free lane, the shared progress means earlier premium milestones can be collected without restarting the event.
Best way to grind toward BFG
Since Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint is tied to event XP rather than a weapon challenge, choose activities that stack progress. Multiplayer objective matches can add match XP while you level another gun. Zombies can combine player XP with camo work. Endgame can combine the pass with assignments and weapon progression. Warzone Resurgence can provide repeated shorter matches. There is no special BFG playlist that has to be selected.
Daily and Weekly Challenges are worth prioritising because they can produce extra player XP during the same sessions. Avoid spending time trying to force Siren-specific kills before the reward tier unless you wanted to use the Siren anyway. The event only cares about the XP bar, so the cleanest route to Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint is reliable overall progression.
BFG Blueprint versus Roc 20mm
The two Special Weapon rewards serve different purposes. Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint is a premium blueprint for Siren and is part of the crossover cosmetics. Roc 20mm is a free base weapon and has its own level 30 progression, Gunsmith slots, Weapon Prestige attachment and camo tracks. Players who only want new gameplay content can finish the free lane and ignore premium. Players who specifically want BFG need the paid lane.
That also means the BFG reward does not unlock the MFS Warhead Autoloader. That attachment belongs to Roc 20mm Weapon Prestige. Treat each route separately: event XP for Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint, free event completion for the Roc base weapon, then Roc weapon levelling and Prestige for its conversion attachment.
Why BFG may look different from a standalone weapon
Because Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint is a blueprint, its behaviour is still constrained by the Siren platform. The DOOM name and presentation can make it look like the pass added another independent weapon, but the loadout menu should be checked under Siren blueprints rather than by searching for a base weapon named BFG. This is the first thing to verify if the reward has been claimed but you cannot locate it.
Once the premium milestone is claimed, open the Siren in the relevant loadout and inspect its available blueprints. Black Ops 7 BFG Blueprint should be treated like a themed Siren configuration. The base weapon identity is what matters for mastery systems and weapon-specific progression, while the BFG presentation is the crossover reward you earned from the event.
