VMP
The VMP is a 35-level full-auto SMG with a 40-round base magazine, fast handling and a high rate of fire. Activision describes it as reliable at close range with enough accuracy to stay useful as distance opens up. Its confirmed Prestige attachment is the MFS Tactical Command Grip, which improves mobility, recoil control, recoil stabilisation and tac-stance spread.

TR51 Para
The TR51 Para is a 41-level semi-auto Assault Rifle with a 25-round magazine. It is built around high damage, bullet velocity and low recoil, but it can also be converted to full auto. The confirmed 18.5-inch MFS Fallen Angel Barrel turns it into a slower-firing full-auto weapon with stronger stopping power and improved bullet velocity at the cost of some control.

Arcblade and Roc 20mm
The Arcblade is a 30-level melee weapon with high damage, fast attack speed and moderate reach. It comes from the Camo Costume Party event rather than the Battle Pass.
The Roc 20mm is a 30-level semi-auto Special weapon built around enormous per-shot damage and range. Its trade-offs are heavy recoil, slow handling and a low rate of fire. It is tied to the DOOM Event Pass, where the base weapon sits on the free track.
Activision lists the Roc 20mm as a launch weapon but separately marks its DOOM Event Pass unlock route as in-season, so its exact availability date is currently unclear.
Black Ops 7 Season 6 weapons: What is not worth guessing before launch
Season 6 has enough confirmed information to explain how every weapon is earned and what each one is designed to do. It does not yet have enough live data to make honest claims about the best VMP build, fastest TTK setup or Warzone meta. Those depend on the live patch, attachment values and actual match testing after September 17.
Which Season 6 weapon can you start levelling first?
The VMP and TR51 Para are the opening-week targets because both sit on the free Battle Pass track. The VMP is earlier at Page 3, so anyone trying to unlock all four weapons efficiently can start earning its 35 weapon levels while continuing toward the TR51 Para on Page 6.
Arcblade and Roc 20mm are different. Arcblade belongs to the Camo Costume Party, while the Roc 20mm is on the free DOOM Event Pass track. Both are seasonal event unlocks, so their availability depends on those events opening rather than Battle Pass progress.
Where the four weapons can be used
Activision lists the new weapons as part of the shared Season 6 ecosystem across Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone. Their camo and mastery progression also spans those modes, although the best attachment setup can differ sharply once live damage values and mode-specific balance are in play.
That is why the useful pre-season choice is deciding what to unlock first, not declaring a universal meta. The VMP is clearly the aggressive SMG, TR51 Para is the flexible precision rifle, Arcblade is the melee option and Roc 20mm is the heavy-damage Special weapon.
How the four Season 6 weapons are split
Season 6 has two launch Battle Pass weapons and two event weapons. The VMP SMG is the Page 3 completion reward and the TR51 Para Assault Rifle is the Page 6 completion reward. The Roc 20mm is tied to the free track of the in-season DOOM Event Pass, while the Arcblade is earned through the Camo Costume Party event. That means you cannot treat all four as day-one Battle Pass unlocks.
The progression depth is different too. VMP has 35 weapon levels, TR51 Para has 41, Arcblade has 30 and Roc 20mm has 30. All four have Weapon Prestige camos, but the Arcblade has no Gunsmith attachments. The three firearms have different attachment pools, and both the TR51 Para and Roc 20mm have important conversion-style Prestige attachments that change how they behave.
The conversion attachments worth knowing about
The TR51 Para begins as a semi-auto rifle, but its 18.5-inch MFS Fallen Angel Barrel converts it into a slower-firing full-auto weapon with much higher bullet velocity. The Roc 20mm gets the MFS Warhead Autoloader, a full-auto conversion that adds an explosive payload and improves handling at the cost of accuracy. Those attachments are more significant than a small stat tweak because they change the weapon’s basic firing behavior.
The VMP stays closer to its normal role. Its MFS Tactical Command Grip improves mobility, recoil control, recoil stabilization and Tac Stance spread. For launch week, it makes more sense to level each gun far enough to understand its normal strengths before chasing a “best build” based on pre-release assumptions.
