Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape: Paint, Treasure Drops and Eligible Zones

Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape lets players farm selected treasure materials outside the monster zones where those pieces normally drop. Pick a Landscape Paint, charge the painting and hunt in a different eligible zone for a chance at extra rare loot.

The special drops have their own probabilities, and they only work in certain zones. It’s worth checking the exclusions before spending Paint, particularly if you’ve been farming the original location for a rare map, compass or outfit material.

How Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape works

Start with the treasure piece you need. Pila Ku Jail Paint targets Archaeologist’s Map materials, while Aakman Temple Paint can give Upgraded Compass parts. The Paint name identifies the source whose bonus loot you’re choosing.

Use the Paint to add 10,000 points to its Landscape, then activate the relevant painting. Each monster defeated while the effect is active consumes three points. Eligible kills can award the selected treasure material or an Empty Picture Frame on top of the monster’s usual loot.

A full charge doesn’t guarantee a rare drop. The Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape bonus has its own published chances, which can be tiny for the most valuable pieces. Treat the points as attempts at extra loot rather than a countdown to a guaranteed reward.

Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape: Eligible farming zones

The rules exclude zones with recommended AP below 300, Party Zones and the zone tied to your active painting. If you’re using Pila Ku Jail Paint, for example, the bonus won’t apply while you’re grinding at Pila Ku Jail itself.

Travel to a different qualifying solo zone rated AP 300 or higher. You can collect that zone’s regular loot while also having a chance at your painting’s bonus materials. The Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape effect won’t bypass the restrictions just because your character has high AP.

If you prefer the original treasure location, you can keep grinding there for its ordinary drops. You just won’t get the extra Landscape roll for that same source. The Paint system is designed to give you somewhere else to farm.

Which Landscape Paint is best for each treasure?

Choose your Paint by the piece you’re missing, not by a general ranking. The Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape options include Archaeologist’s Map, Upgraded Compass, Rich Merchant’s Ring, Upgraded Telescope and La Orzeca materials.

Archaeologist’s MapPila Ku Jail, Roud Sulfur Mine
Upgraded CompassAakman Temple, Hystria Ruins
Rich Merchant’s RingPadix Island, Ash Forest, Olun’s Valley and more
Upgraded TelescopeTungrad Ruins, Darkseekers’ Retreat, City of the Dead

The table identifies example paintings, not a full recipe for any of these treasures. A map or compass needs several components, and one Paint won’t necessarily supply them all. Use Monster Zone Info to check the particular piece you’re targeting.

How does the Treasure Codex help?

Pearl Abyss added a Treasure Codex shortcut to Landscape in September. It opens the Monster Zone Info for materials associated with the selected painting. You can also find the Codex under Menu (ESC), Adventure (F5), to review your treasure progress.

Our Black Desert Treasure Codex guide explains how to track missing pieces and assemble finished treasures. Use it alongside Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape to decide which Paint is worth charging next.

Do drop rate buffs increase Landscape rewards?

No. Pearl Abyss says Item Drop Rate effects do not increase Landscape’s special rewards. An Agris scroll can affect ordinary eligible loot, but it doesn’t change the separate Paint probabilities. This matters when comparing one zone with another.

The 50-box Pearl Shop promotion ended October 8, so its discounted price is historical. The game’s official guide also describes obtaining Paint from the original monster zones associated with its paintings. Check current acquisition options rather than relying on a finished sale.

La Orzeca Paint can award Quturan’s Lungs or the Leaves used to craft them, but the La Orzeca source zones themselves are excluded from that Landscape bonus. Our La Orzeca Paint guide covers the precise rates and recipes.

To use Black Desert Allan Serbin’s Landscape, identify your missing material, charge its Paint and grind in an eligible AP 300+ solo zone away from the painting’s source. Keep an eye on the remaining points and decide when you want to recharge.
