ARC Raiders Night Raid is a rotating map condition that turns a normal deployment into a darker, higher-risk run with better loot, more ARC activity, fewer Return Points and no active Raider Hatches. Night Raids appear on Embark’s one-hour map-condition schedule, so you can check the current map before deploying instead of waiting for a random night cycle.
The trade-off is straightforward. An ARC Raiders Night Raid gives you more reasons to push locked rooms and high-value containers, but extraction is harder and the increased ARC presence puts more pressure on ammunition, healing and route planning. Free Loadout is also disabled during Night Raid.
What changes during an ARC Raiders Night Raid?

Every ARC Raiders Night Raid uses the same core rules: the map is much darker, high-value loot becomes more common, more ARC machines patrol the area and your extraction options are reduced.
| Night Raid change | What it means |
|---|---|
| Increased loot value | Better average container quality and stronger locked-room rewards |
| More ARC activity | Higher machine density and more pressure around valuable areas |
| Fewer active Return Points | Fewer exits, which funnels Raiders towards the same extraction routes |
| No active Raider Hatches | Raider Hatch Keys cannot be used to extract |
| No Free Loadout | You need to bring your own equipment |
| Darker visibility | Movement, spotting and PvP become much harder without a good route |
The extra loot is the main reason to enter an ARC Raiders Night Raid, but the extraction restrictions are just as important. If you normally rely on a Hatch Key as your emergency exit, change that plan before deployment because Raider Hatches are inactive.
Is Night Raid loot better?
Yes. ARC Raiders Night Raid increases the average value of loot across the map. Container spawn frequency is higher, low-probability containers are more likely to appear and secured areas are especially valuable during the condition.
Locked rooms are one of the best reasons to bring a key into a Night Raid. Current Night Raid rules make keyed areas more rewarding, and keys themselves are easier to find during the condition. If you already know the locked-room layout for your chosen map, that route is usually more useful than wandering through ordinary low-value buildings.
Does Night Raid increase ARC drops?
An ARC Raiders Night Raid also improves ARC drop opportunities. More machines spawn, rare variants appear more often and high-value ARC parts become easier to farm simply because you are seeing more suitable enemies in the same run.
That can make Night Raid a good time to chase parts such as Advanced ARC Powercells, Bastion Cells, Bombardier Cells, Leaper Pulse Units, Sentinel Firing Cores and Surveyor Vaults. The extra ARC density also means fights chain together more easily, so avoid burning all your healing on the first patrol you see.

Which maps can get Night Raid?
ARC Raiders Night Raid rotates across multiple maps on Embark’s map-condition schedule. The live schedule currently includes Night Raid windows on maps such as The Blue Gate, Pendola Pass, Stella Montis, Riven Tides, Buried City and other eligible locations depending on the rotation.
The schedule changes hour by hour, so do not plan around yesterday’s map. Embark’s official Map Conditions page shows which Night Raid is active now and the next scheduled Night Raid on each eligible map.
How long does a Night Raid condition last?
The published ARC Raiders Night Raid schedule uses one-hour map-condition windows. A map can move in and out of Night Raid as the rotation changes, while other conditions run on the same or different maps at the same time.
Check the schedule before spending time preparing a key-heavy route. If your preferred map’s Night Raid is nearly finished, it can be better to wait for the next suitable window than rush into a deployment without the loadout you wanted.
Best Night Raid loadout
A good ARC Raiders Night Raid loadout needs enough ammunition and healing to survive repeated ARC contact without becoming so expensive that one PvP loss wipes out your progress. Bring a reliable primary, healing, one way to handle armored ARC and the keys needed for the route you actually plan to run.
- Reliable primary: bring something you can control in dark interiors and medium-range fights.
- Healing: carry more than you would for a quick daylight loot run.
- ARC damage: make sure the loadout can handle stronger machines without using every magazine.
- Keys: Night Raid makes locked rooms more attractive, so bring keys for the map you selected.
- Backpack space: leave enough room for high-value loot instead of filling every slot with supplies.
Free Loadout is disabled during ARC Raiders Night Raid, so you cannot use the condition as a zero-risk way to farm the improved loot. Bring gear you are comfortable losing if the run goes wrong.
How to extract safely at night
Extraction is where an ARC Raiders Night Raid becomes dangerous. Fewer Return Points are active, and Raider Hatches are unavailable, so more players are pushed towards the same exits.
- Check the active Return Points as soon as you load in.
- Choose your loot route around an exit that will still be realistic when your bag is full.
- Expect more ARC and Raider traffic around high-value buildings.
- Leave enough ammunition for the extraction route instead of spending everything while looting.
- Approach the Return Point carefully and listen before committing to the exit.
A long detour is much harder in the dark after your resources are already low. If you have the loot you came for, leaving early is usually better than adding one more building and reaching extraction with no healing left.
Are locked rooms worth it during Night Raid?
Yes. Locked rooms are one of the strongest ARC Raiders Night Raid targets because the condition increases the value of secured loot. If you know where a key is used, bring it into the correct map and build the route around that room rather than hoping to find a useful key mid-raid.
The Click has dedicated key guides for Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, The Blue Gate, Buried City, Stella Montis and Riven Tides, so use the map-specific guide before deployment if you are carrying a rare key.
Night Raid not showing on my map
ARC Raiders Night Raid is a rotating condition rather than a permanent mode. If your preferred map is not currently dark, check Embark’s Map Conditions schedule for the next one-hour Night Raid window.
You also need to check the map itself rather than assuming every location gets the condition at the same time. Different maps rotate through different conditions throughout the day.
Is Night Raid worth doing?
ARC Raiders Night Raid is worth doing when you have a clear high-value route, the right keys and enough gear to survive more ARC contact. The better loot and ARC drops can make one successful run extremely profitable.
It is a worse choice when you only need one low-value quest item or you are trying to avoid PvP pressure. Fewer exits and denser activity make Night Raid much less forgiving than a normal daylight deployment.
