Adopt Me Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle are two Legendary pets added to the Releaser Eggs on August 21, 2026. Both can hatch from a Basic Egg or Crystal Egg, which you buy using Tickets earned by releasing unwanted pets. Neither animal is sold directly for a fixed Bucks price.
Basic Eggs cost 400 Tickets, while Crystal Eggs cost 4,000. The more expensive egg has a higher-rarity-focused hatch pool, but doesn’t guarantee one of the new Legendaries. Here’s how to get the eggs and understand the difference.
How to get Adopt Me Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle
Go to Tom’s Pet Releaser and exchange unwanted pets for Tickets. Spend 400 Tickets on a Basic Egg or 4,000 on a Crystal Egg, then complete the egg’s Needs to hatch a random pet. The August refresh added Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle to both pools.
The way to obtain Adopt Me Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle is therefore through hatching, not a special quest. Releasing a pet is irreversible, so choose duplicates you genuinely no longer need rather than a rare animal you’ve spent a long time raising.

Basic Egg or Crystal Egg: which is better?
The Basic Egg is cheaper, giving you ten attempts for the 4,000 Tickets needed for a single Crystal Egg. Under the Releaser system, Basic Eggs are weighted towards lower rarities, while Crystal Eggs focus on Rare, Ultra Rare and Legendary results.
| Egg | Cost | Main advantage |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Egg | 400 Tickets | More low-cost hatches |
| Crystal Egg | 4,000 Tickets | Higher-rarity-weighted results |
The update confirms Adopt Me Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle are Legendary hatchable pets, but doesn’t publish a separate exact chance for each in the official video description. Use the current in-game egg information for individual odds, since the Releaser’s pet pools can change.
How to earn enough Tickets
Releasing a regular Common gives 100 Tickets, an Uncommon 125, Rare 150, Ultra Rare 300 and Legendary 900. Four ordinary Commons provide the 400 Tickets needed for a Basic Egg. Neon, Mega Neon, Fly and Ride pets return more Tickets, but may also be more desirable in trades.
If you’re collecting Adopt Me Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle, avoid sacrificing a valuable pet just to afford one more attempt. Ticket payouts are fixed, while the pets in your collection may be worth keeping or trading instead.
Can you hatch both pets from one egg?
No. One egg gives one pet. You may hatch either of the two new Legendaries, another Legendary, or a lower-rarity pet. Multiple eggs mean additional random hatches, not a guaranteed Kiwi Kiwi or Strawberry Tortle after a set number of purchases.
You can also trade for a specific pet if another player offers it. Adopt Me Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle don’t have developer-set trading prices, so review each offer rather than trusting someone else’s claimed fixed value.

Is Kiwi Kiwi different from the Kiwi pet?
Yes. Kiwi Kiwi is a Legendary added in the August Releaser refresh, while Kiwi is another pet in Adopt Me’s catalogue. Always read the complete name before trading. Strawberry Tortle is also its own Legendary pet, not an accessory or food item.
The same update added Backpack Storage tabs so you can keep duplicate pets separate. That doesn’t change hatch odds, but it can make it easier to decide which animals you’re willing to release.
For Adopt Me Kiwi Kiwi and Strawberry Tortle, the confirmed route is still Releaser Tickets followed by Basic or Crystal Egg hatches. Check the Pet Releaser Ticket guide for complete payouts before making a decision.
