The Adopt Me Basic Egg costs 400 Tickets from Tom’s Pet Releaser shop. Tickets are earned by releasing unwanted pets, with the amount depending on rarity and whether they’re Neon or Mega Neon. The Basic Egg isn’t purchased with Bucks, Robux or daily Stars.
The February 2026 update gave the egg a heavily Common- and Uncommon-weighted hatch table, with only a small chance of a Legendary. Later Releaser updates can change the pets available, so it’s important to distinguish the published February chances from any newer in-game pool.
How to get the Adopt Me Basic Egg
Find Tom at the Pet Releaser and choose the Basic Egg from the Tickets shop. It costs 400 Tickets, which you can obtain by releasing four ordinary Common pets at 100 Tickets each. You can also release a regular Ultra Rare pet for 300 Tickets and a Common for 100, although you should consider whether trading the rarer pet would be more valuable.
The Adopt Me Basic Egg was included when Uplift Games replaced Releaser Points with Tickets on February 20. Any saved old points were converted automatically. The Releaser’s temporary move to the main Island lasted only a couple of weeks, so use the current in-game map if Tom isn’t at that earlier location.

Adopt Me Basic Egg hatch chances
The official February 20 patch published these Adopt Me Basic Egg rarity rates, including the limited Giant Panda outcome that was part of the Releaser overhaul.
| Outcome | February 2026 chance |
|---|---|
| Common | 59.75% |
| Uncommon | 35% |
| Rare | 4% |
| Ultra Rare | 0.99% |
| Legendary | 0.25% |
| Giant Panda (limited) | 0.01% |
The regular Legendary tier is 0.25%, while Giant Panda had a separately listed 0.01% chance. That’s a combined 0.26% chance of either Legendary outcome in the February table. Those figures are not a promise that the pet pool or Giant Panda’s special availability stayed unchanged throughout 2026.
What pets are in the Basic Egg now?
The Adopt Me Basic Egg belongs to the Pet Releaser system, which has received later refreshes, including new named pets. Uplift Games’ February announcement gives the rarity percentages but doesn’t provide an exhaustive current per-pet list for October. Rather than invent one, check the Basic Egg’s in-game information panel for the latest hatchable names.
In particular, Giant Panda was announced as a limited reward leaving on March 6. Its February hatch chance shouldn’t be presented as current without newer confirmation. The Basic Egg is most useful when you want inexpensive extra hatches with Tickets you’ve earned from spare pets.

Basic Egg vs Crystal Egg: what changes?
The Crystal Egg costs 4,000 Tickets, ten times the Basic Egg’s price. In the February table it had no Common or Uncommon outcomes, instead offering 50% Rare, 44% Ultra Rare, 5.9% normal Legendary and 0.1% Giant Panda. That differs sharply from the cheaper egg’s predominantly Common and Uncommon results.
For the same 4,000 Tickets, you could buy ten Adopt Me Basic Eggs or one Crystal Egg. If you want quantity and low-cost hatches, Basic Eggs offer more attempts; if you want higher rarities, Crystal Egg had the stronger rarity distribution. Neither guarantees a particular pet.
Is the Basic Egg worth 400 Tickets?
Four Common pet releases are enough for a single purchase, making the Basic Egg accessible without giving up a Legendary or Neon pet. It’s a reasonable way to use surplus duplicates, especially if you’re missing Common or Uncommon pets in the current Releaser egg collection.
However, the Adopt Me Basic Egg isn’t the best choice when your only goal is a Legendary. Its February odds were small, and you could end up using a lot of Tickets chasing a single result. Check the current reward shop before releasing a valuable pet or committing your whole Ticket balance.
