Adrenalin 26.10.1 is AMD’s October 20, 2026 Windows graphics driver. Its main additions are FSR Upscaling 4.1 on RX 6000 and selected Ryzen AI processors, support for four games and a fix for stuttering in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on RX 6000 and newer Radeon cards.
FSR SDK 2.4 followed on October 28 with the 4.1.2 upscaler and developer-side Vulkan changes. Players install the graphics driver; game studios integrate the SDK effects into their titles. The driver and the game build work together to deliver newer FSR versions.
Adrenalin 26.10.1 FSR 4.1 features

The driver adds FSR Upscaling 4.1 for RX 6000 graphics, Ryzen AI Max 300 and 400, and Ryzen AI 9 300 and 400. SDK 2.4 builds on that support with Upscaling 4.1.2, new Ryzen Z2 and Vulkan integrations and additional developer changes. RX 7000 had already gained ML upscaling in AMD’s earlier SDK release.
The new upscaler reconstructs pictures from a lower rendering resolution using machine learning. ML Frame Generation 4.0.2 remains exclusive to RX 9000 or newer on Windows 11, while RX 6000 owners can use compatible analytical frame generation where offered by the game.
New games and Modern Warfare 4 fix
AMD lists Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Final Fantasy Resonance and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered as new game support. That list concerns driver compatibility and optimisations, not a promise that every title includes FSR 4.1.2.
The fixed issue is Modern Warfare 4 stuttering on Radeon RX 6000 and newer. After installing the driver, revisit an area where you encountered the stutter and test it at your usual settings. That makes it easier to judge the change without also altering your resolution or graphics preset.
Adrenalin 26.10.1 known issues in games
| Game or feature | Affected hardware and issue |
|---|---|
| Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced | Intermittent crashes or driver timeouts on RX 7000 |
| War Thunder | Driver timeouts on RX 5000. AMD advises affected players to use 26.9.1 |
| Valor Mortis | Intermittent system shutdowns on RX 7600, and timeouts on RX 7000 |
| Final Fantasy Resonance | Intermittent shutdowns on Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 |
| Death Stranding 2: On the Beach | FSR-related hangs on RX 9000. AMD advises turning FSR off if affected |
| Cyberpunk 2077 | Crashes or timeouts on some RX 9000 systems with FSR Upscaling, Anti-Lag and in-game frame generation enabled while video plays on another display. AMD advises disabling in-game frame generation |
| Fallout 76 | Black screen on launch on Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 |
AMD also lists crashes when opening or closing other overlays alongside its Performance Metrics Overlay. Disabling the metrics overlay is the suggested workaround. On RX 9000, switching applications or toggling overlays while a game uses FSR Frame Generation may cause a hang; AMD advises affected players to enable in-game VSync.
How to install Adrenalin 26.10.1

Open AMD Software or Device Manager and identify the GPU. Download Adrenalin 26.10.1 from AMD’s support page for that card, then run the installer with games closed. Restart Windows if prompted and reopen AMD Software to confirm the installed version. If you’re troubleshooting a regression, note the previous driver version before replacing it.
For laptops with manufacturer-specific graphics controls, AMD recommends the OEM’s validated driver. Adrenalin 26.10.1 does not support gaming handheld devices through the reference package. ASUS, Lenovo and other handheld owners should follow the drivers and update tools supplied for their exact model.
Windows support and troubleshooting
AMD lists Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2 or later and Windows 11 version 21H2 or later, with compatibility still varying by Radeon product. Smart Access Memory can be disabled after installation on Windows 10, so check that setting if you use it. AMD also documents an AI Bundle installation problem in regions with limited access to supporting download services.
For a driver regression, note the installed version, GPU model and game build. AMD links its Cleanup Utility in the release notes for downgrades. Follow AMD’s instructions when rolling back rather than deleting driver files manually.
How Adrenalin 26.10.1 works with FSR SDK 2.4
The new driver broadens the hardware eligible for the ML upscaler, while FSR SDK 2.4 supplies the updated effects to developers. Eligible DirectX 12 integrations may receive driver-provided upgrades. Vulkan titles require the newer SDK integration before they can use ML FSR 4.1.2, so a driver alone does not upgrade every Vulkan FSR 3.1 game.
After updating Adrenalin 26.10.1, reopen AMD Software to confirm the version and check the affected game’s graphics options. That covers both practical changes in this release: the Modern Warfare 4 fix and access to newer FSR upscaling on supported hardware.
