Halloween The Game Escape Routes include Storm Cellars, gates, escape cars and police-assisted escapes. The October 27 Tower Farm Terror update also introduced a new sewer escape on the fifth multiplayer map. Which exits are available and where escape supplies appear can vary from match to match.
The fastest way out depends on the supplies you’ve collected and the exits discovered that round. Here’s what each route involves, how the five maps differ and what Tower Farm adds.
Halloween The Game Escape Routes: Every Main Type

- Storm Cellar: locate an active cellar, remove the required blockers and open it to escape.
- Gate: find the relevant escape gate and collect the components needed to open it, including fuse-related objectives.
- Escape Car: repair the vehicle and gather its necessary items before driving out.
- Police Wagon: police reinforcement and rescue systems provide an additional escape under suitable match conditions.
- Sewer: Tower Farm introduced this escape in Patch 1.2.0.
Cellars and gates have limited capacity. If teammates already escaped there or Michael is guarding an opening, move to another exit rather than waiting beside it.
Halloween The Game Escape Routes by Map
The original four maps are Haddonfield Heights, Orange Grove Estates, Haddonfield Town Center and East Haddonfield. Tower Farm arrived on October 27. Use the landmarks below when calling out your position.
| Map | Landmarks and confirmed additions |
|---|---|
| Haddonfield Heights | Myers and Strode houses, water tower |
| Orange Grove Estates | Wallace and Doyle residences, garages |
| Haddonfield Town Center | Nichols Hardware, Patty’s Pub, A-Side Music |
| East Haddonfield | Phelps Garage, Rabbit in Red Lounge |
| Tower Farm | Filling station, cornfields, festival, sewer escape |
On Tower Farm, use the lit filling station, rural roads, farmhouses, cornfields and harvest festival to orient yourself. The sewer is another escape type. Our Tower Farm map guide covers the landmarks.
Use the map’s discovered exit information and active interaction prompts. A location that held an escape item last round won’t necessarily hold it in your current match.
Halloween The Game Escape Routes: Storm Cellar Changes
Patch 1.1.0 made Storm Cellars less reliable for quick escapes. IllFonic increased the minimum number of blockers that can appear, lengthened overgrowth clearing and reduced how many people can escape through a cellar. Gate escape capacity was reduced too.
Escape item distribution changed: fewer Bolt Cutters, Gas Cans and Escape Keys, but more Fuses. The distance at which exits can be discovered now scales with match time. An exit that once opened quickly may now need more searching and teamwork.
Our Patch 1.1.0 guide explains the escape balance changes. Halloween The Game Escape Routes now reward checking a second exit when a quick cellar or gate escape isn’t possible.
How to Find Exit Items and Escape Safely
Use prominent map landmarks, then follow any discovered escape information and interaction prompts. Search systematically for the missing supply instead of revisiting the same building repeatedly. Loot and exit opportunities may vary, and not every visible cellar entrance is an active escape that round.
The October 27 update added noise pings when escape interactions occur. Michael may therefore receive additional information when you’re working on a route. If an exit fills or gets closed, move to another option instead of waiting in the open.
Halloween The Game Escape Routes work best when teammates share the type of exit, the missing item and its approximate landmark rather than just calling out ‘the gate’.
Escaping also counts towards some Progressive Challenges. Richard’s Escape Artist now requires opening an escape route 30 times, while Rachel’s Through the Veil asks for 50. Both are confirmed in the October 27 notes, so choose an active exit and help open it when working on those challenges.
Halloween The Game Escape Routes: Tower Farm Sewer
The new sewer route is specifically identified in IllFonic’s Tower Farm Terror notes. The map is available in Matchmaking and Private Matches without a paid map purchase. Its sewer should not be confused with the older Storm Cellar system or assumed to appear in every other Haddonfield map.
Halloween The Game Escape Routes now include Tower Farm’s sewer, but the sewer is not a guaranteed exit on all the older maps. Use the in-match objectives and surrounding landmarks to locate the active route.
