Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens are available for free every day. During the Season 11 Wave 2 campaign, claim two daily supply tokens instead of the usual one, earn one by successfully inviting friends to a Paintball List hunt, or earn two from a successful Elder Dragon Interception invitation. Quests and limited giveaways offer more, including a Halloween 2026 Discord voting reward.

Friend Link unlocks at Hunter Rank 11, and invitation rewards are capped at three successful qualifying hunts per day. Your standard token balance caps at 50, while joining another player’s remote hunt may spend tokens. Here’s how to get them, which rewards are actually free and the cheapest way to use them.

Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens: daily supplies

Open the in-game Shop and claim your Daily Supply Items. The normal FAQ lists one token per day, but Season 11 Wave 2 doubles that to two daily until 23 November at 4:59 AM local time. Friend Link is unlocked at Hunter Rank 11, so finish levelling if you cannot access its features yet. Check your balance before joining a remote Elder Dragon hunt: one day’s free supply covers a single two-token Interception join. The doubled supply is available throughout the current event, even if you don’t join a remote hunt.

Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens: Paintball hunts

Open a marked monster in your Paintball List, go to its hunt preparation screen and choose Invite Friends. If you successfully complete the hunt with an invited friend, the inviter earns one token. Invitations are sent to eligible online friends based on previous hunts together and other criteria. You can’t manually select any name from your friend list. You only earn Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens from an invitation when the hunt succeeds. The official FAQ confirms that a Special Carving Knife can double or triple those Tokens, although it uses an additional resource. To farm Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens, use paintballs you were already planning to hunt and invite friends before starting.

Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens: Elder Dragon hunts

Go to an Elder Dragon Interception and select Invite Friends at the preparation screen. If the group slays or repels the Elder Dragon, the inviter receives two tokens. That’s twice the reward of a successful marked-monster invitation. Both types of hunt draw from the same daily earning limit of three successful invitation rewards. Elder Dragon invites offer the higher single-hunt reward if you can finish the fight; failed hunts don’t award tokens.

Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens: The three-hunt limit and 50-token cap

You can earn invitation rewards from three successful hunts per day in total, not three Paintball hunts plus three Elder Dragon hunts. Your standard possession limit is 50 tokens. If you are already at 50, successful invitations won’t add another token, although the attempt doesn’t use one of your daily earning opportunities. Tokens obtained from the Shop, promo codes or quest rewards may exceed 50. If you’re already at 50, spend some before farming more through invitations.

Halloween Discord voting rewards

You can get two Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens by voting for nominated costumes in the official Monster Hunter Now Discord between 2 and 6 November 2026. The code also includes one Premium Well-Done Steak, and you don’t have to submit an outfit yourself. Players whose Halloween layered equipment submissions are nominated receive a different code for two tokens and two First-Aid Meds. Entries close 30 October at 2:59 PM GMT; voting closes 6 November at 2:59 PM GMT. Delivery of these codes may take several days. The promotional rewards are separate from normal daily earning limits.

Paid Scarecrow Legs rewards aren’t free

If you’re after free Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens, don’t mistake the Scarecrow Legs Premium Quest for a giveaway. It includes ten tokens, ten Tracker Scopes and a Scarecrow Legs forging ticket, but is paid. Those ten tokens are part of a Shop purchase, not a free Halloween login reward. The armour carries Critical Ferocity Lv2 and gains a driftsmelting slot at Grade 8. If you’re avoiding paid purchases, claim daily supply items, invite friends and participate in the Discord voting event instead. The wider Halloween 2026 Pass has Free and Premium plans, but its individual tier rewards shouldn’t be confused with the Scarecrow quest.

How much does joining a remote hunt cost?

Joining Friend Link differs from earning invitation rewards as a host. Even a nearby friend’s Friend Link invite can require tokens. An Elder Dragon Interception costs two tokens for the joining player. A marked monster at 8★ or higher costs one. For monsters at 7★ or below, the current Season 11 Wave 2 event raises your free allowance to 18 joins per day (normally nine); your 19th and subsequent low-star joins cost one token. The limit on joins that consume tokens is also temporarily 40 per day rather than the normal 20. Both doubled limits run through 23 November at 4:59 AM local time. If you’re still within the 180-minute Interception or Hunt-a-thon cooldown, joining another Elder Dragon Interception through Friend Link also requires an Ultra Hunting Ticket.

Accept a remote hunt invitation

To spend Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens on a remote invitation, tap Join hunt! when a friend invites you at the bottom left of the main map, choose the invitation and confirm the displayed token requirement. Tokens are consumed after the hunt succeeds or the Elder Dragon is repelled, not just when you open the invite. If tokens aren’t arriving, check your Hunter Rank, 50-token balance, daily three-reward limit and whether the invited hunt succeeded. Monster Hunter Now Friend Link Tokens from a successful code redemption may take a restart to appear in your item box. For a Halloween Discord code, use the official redemption website with your linked account.
