The Halloween 2026 Pass in Monster Hunter Now offers a Free Plan and a paid Premium Plan, with rewards unlocked by progressing Event Tiers. To make progress, complete the limited-time MH Now Halloween 2026 I quests during the event. The official announcement confirms special weapon style materials and a Black Diablos riftborne material among rewards, but does not publish a full tier-by-tier list or the premium price.

The first thing to do is open Special Quests when Halloween 2026 I begins on October 26. Those tasks feed Event Tier progression, even if you stay on the Free Plan. Before considering the Premium Plan, compare its in-game reward track against the materials you already earn by hunting.

How to unlock Event Tiers in the Halloween 2026 Pass

First complete the Monster Hunter Now prologue, the access requirement for the Halloween event. The MH Now Halloween 2026 I quests then appear in your Special Quests tab when the event opens on October 26 at 9 AM local time. Completing this questline increases your Event Tier. Higher tiers unlock more pass rewards; the developer has not shared the amount of tier progress from each individual objective.

The first event questline includes challenges involving Black Diablos and Aurora Somnacanth and also awards the Halloween 2026 Medal. Those enemies are part of the featured monster group in Part I, so you can advance the Halloween 2026 Pass while hunting for other seasonal materials. For monster rotations and event hours, see the Halloween 2026 event guide. There is no confirmed public list of every quest step yet.

Free Plan versus Premium Plan rewards

The Halloween 2026 Pass has two reward tracks. The Free Plan is available without purchasing the Premium Plan; the Premium Plan is a paid addition with more rewards at Event Tiers. The developer confirms both options but does not identify which of the named materials belongs to each individual tier or track in its announcement. Check the pass screen for the exact free and paid reward columns when the event begins on October 26.

The Halloween 2026 Pass shouldn’t be confused with the separate premium Scarecrow Legs quest sold through the Shop. That quest grants its own exclusive armour forging ticket and other rewards. Buying one isn’t described as granting the other, and the Halloween announcement doesn’t specify a bundle including both products.

What are the confirmed materials used for?

The Black Diablos Riftshell is a riftborne Black Diablos material, which can contribute to relevant equipment progression. The named Halloween Style Unlock Material opens style selection and parameter selection for Skullwhistle and Squawkscythe. The separate Style Customization Material increases style levels. One material cannot substitute for the other, so check which stage your Halloween weapon actually needs before allocating your reward farming.

These style materials have other sources: 8★ or higher large-monster hunts can drop them, while Elder Dragon Interceptions award them as guaranteed rewards. Halloween Weapon Upgrade Tickets, earned from large monsters and elder dragons, can also increase style customisation level. The Halloween 2026 Pass therefore offers another route to the same broad weapon progression; it is not the only announced way to gather style materials. The Jack-o’-Head armour follows its own ticket system.

Is the Halloween 2026 Pass worth buying?

The value of the Halloween 2026 Pass depends on the Premium Plan price, the additional tier rewards and how far you expect to progress before the event ends. None of those exact tier-by-tier quantities or purchase prices is in the official news post. Compare the Premium price against the style materials and Black Diablos rewards you still need. A paid tier is only useful if you can reach it before the quests close.

If you mainly want cosmetics, the Harvest Cloak comes from the regular event Exchange Hub instead. If you are collecting EX materials, the pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku activity begins on November 2 and has a different currency. These are separate reward systems, and the paid Halloween 2026 Pass is not presented as a requirement for either exchange.

Important pass dates and restrictions

Halloween 2026 Pass progression is connected to MH Now Halloween 2026 I quests, available from October 26 at 9 AM until November 8 at 11:59 PM local time. The event has two phases, but the first questline continues through the whole event. Part II begins November 2 and introduces a second questline focused on pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku. It does not replace the earlier pass-linked quests.

Exchange Hub spending and reduced equipment material requirements run until November 15, but the developer does not say the Halloween 2026 Pass can continue earning tiers after November 8. Finish the Halloween 2026 I quests and claim unlocked Event Tier rewards during the available event window. The shop screen will show the Premium price and tier rewards once the pass is released.
