Monster Hunter Now Scarecrow Legs: How to Unlock, Skill and Quest Rewards

Monster Hunter Now Scarecrow Legs official armour render

Scarecrow Legs arrive in Monster Hunter Now Halloween 2026 as exclusive leg armour obtained through a limited-time paid Premium Quest. Completing that quest earns a forging ticket, ten Friend Link Tokens and ten Tracker Scopes. The armour comes with Critical Ferocity Lv2 and has one driftsmelting slot, which opens at Grade 8.

Open the Shop and look for Halloween 2026: Scarecrow Legs Quest. This is a separate paid quest, not an item from the regular Halloween Exchange Hub. Check its listed price and objectives before buying; the event announcement confirms the reward bundle but not its Shop price.

How to unlock Scarecrow Legs

Look for the Halloween 2026: Scarecrow Legs Quest in the in-game Shop once the premium quest becomes available. The developer describes it as a limited-time Premium Quest. Complete the quest to claim a Scarecrow Legs Ticket, the item needed to forge the armour. Buying the quest and finishing its objectives are separate steps, so a Shop purchase should not be mistaken for a direct hunt reward.

The current announcement doesn’t specify a price, the purchase cutoff or every quest requirement. Those details will need to be read from the live Shop listing. Meanwhile, everyone who finishes the prologue can take part in the main Halloween event, including its standard Special Quests. Those normal event quests aren’t described as granting the premium leg-armour forging ticket.

The Scarecrow Legs premium quest lists all three items as main rewards. There is no published stage-by-stage breakdown showing the precise objective that delivers each one. It’s worth checking that information before buying if you’re interested primarily in the Friend Link Tokens or Tracker Scopes rather than the armour.

The separate Harvest Cloak is layered chest equipment from the regular exchange. It doesn’t replace combat leg armour, and it uses normal Halloween Exchange Tokens. Similarly, pumpkin-carrying Kulu-Ya-Ku provide EX Exchange Tokens during Part II of the event, not the exclusive forging ticket from this Shop quest.

What Critical Ferocity Lv2 does

Scarecrow Legs grant Critical Ferocity at Level 2. The skill decreases weapon affinity but gives a small chance to increase the damage associated with negative affinity. It’s therefore aimed at a different interaction from simply stacking positive critical-hit chance. The announcement doesn’t supply an exact damage percentage, proc chance or weapon-by-weapon damage comparison.

For the right negative-affinity build, this can be an interesting skill to examine in the actual equipment screen. It isn’t automatically the best leg option for every hunter. You still need to compare your weapon, the rest of your armour and any other available skill synergies. The Jack-o’-Head’s special Partbreaker (Halloween) effect is a separate skill on a separate armour slot.

When the driftsmelting slot becomes available

The official specifications give Scarecrow Legs one driftsmelting slot, unlocked at Grade 8. That means you’ll need to upgrade to the stated grade before planning to use the slot. The event also introduces Mysterious Driftstone V, which may offer Critical Range Boost, Ice Attack, Charge Master or Partbreaker, though the announcement doesn’t confirm the odds of any one skill appearing.

Driftsmelting and forging are distinct systems. First obtain the ticket and create the leg armour, then upgrade it to the grade required for its slot. It’s worth remembering that the temporary Halloween equipment boost doesn’t change that named Grade 8 threshold.

How to upgrade the armour with tickets

Halloween Armor Upgrade Tickets can be used to level up and overgrade Scarecrow Legs during the reduced-requirements period. They are available in the Halloween 2026 Exchange Hub and Halloween 2026 EX Exchange Hub. They are not the same as the Reissue Halloween Forging Tickets used for Jack-o’-Head and Ghost Balloon.

From October 26 at 9 AM to November 15 at 11:59 PM local time, certain upgrades use the armour tickets in place of zenny and gathering materials. The official announcement stops short of naming the exact ticket cost for each grade and warns that some other monster materials may still be needed. Check the actual upgrade screen before deciding how many tokens to exchange.

When does the Scarecrow Legs bonus end?

The Halloween equipment boost runs from October 26 through November 8, ending at 11:59 PM local time. The cheaper material requirements continue for an additional week until November 15, as do the event exchanges. Both kinds of Halloween Exchange Tokens must be earned by November 8, so keep that earlier deadline in mind if you are still collecting armour tickets.

For a build using negative affinity, compare Critical Ferocity Lv2 against the leg skills you would give up. If you’re mainly buying for the Tracker Scopes or Friend Link Tokens, compare the Shop price with those ten-item rewards before committing. The Halloween event overview gives the wider schedule if you want to combine that progression with ordinary seasonal hunts.
