Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade is the first week of Halloween Showdown 2026, with Whisperblade tied to Frighter and Neural Maul tied to Gravegade. Donate at least 10 Showdown Candies to each faction at Baka to qualify for both rewards. The weapons arrive once their respective community goals finish, not immediately when you spend ten candies.

You can back both sides, earn two immediate 500-Halloween-Candy bonuses and still vote for your preferred monster. The winning Keychain is a separate Outpost claim available from 2 November. Here’s the full process, including how to tell whether you’re waiting for a community unlock or a missing reward.

Whisperblade and Neural Maul: what’s different?

In Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade, Frighter is linked to the Whisperblade, and Gravegade to the Neural Maul. Their community goals are separate. The Frighter and Gravegade Keychains are the rival charm rewards, but only the winning monster’s charm is available after the vote. Both weapons can still be awarded in the same week if both shared goals complete. These are community goal weapons, not items you buy from Baka’s normal Halloween Candy shop.

Join the community event first

To join Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade, sign in to the official Halloween Showdown 2026 event page and join the event with your Dying Light 2 platform linked. Update to patch 1.30 and hunt featured Frighter and Gravegade enemies in Villedor’s open world or open Halloween Chests during encounters. Both supply Showdown Candies for voting. Ordinary Halloween Candies are a different currency and can’t satisfy these faction contribution thresholds. If the event progress does not register, make sure you are playing on the platform associated with your Outpost account.

How to unlock the Whisperblade

For Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade, find Baka outside the Bazaar, on one of the former church’s outer walls. Choose Frighter in his event interface and contribute at least 10 Showdown Candies while the first week is active. Once the community reaches the Frighter goal, you are eligible to receive Whisperblade automatically in your in-game stash. Ten is the participation minimum, not the price of buying a guaranteed sword immediately. You can donate more to push the Frighter toward winning the charm vote.

Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade: unlock Neural Maul

Select the Gravegade goal at the same Baka shop and contribute at least ten Showdown Candies. When the Gravegade community goal is reached, qualifying players receive Neural Maul in their stash. Donations to the other faction don’t count toward this ten-Candy threshold. You are not locked to one side, so don’t worry about forfeiting the other weapon by donating to the first faction. Each weapon has its own community target; the winning charm is a separate vote.

How to qualify for both weapons

The easiest first step is to obtain 20 Showdown Candies and split them equally between both goals. A daytime Halloween Chest during an encounter contains 40, and a nighttime chest contains 80, so either amount covers those minimums. Techland confirms you can receive both weapons if both faction goals are met. If just one goal has completed, only its weapon has qualified for automatic delivery so far. Any spare Showdown Candies can then be donated to whichever monster you’d rather see represented by the weekly charm.

Get 500 Halloween Candies from each side

In Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade, your first ten contributed to Frighter grant 500 normal Halloween Candies instantly, and the equivalent contribution to Gravegade grants another 500. That’s up to 1,000 Halloween Candies for meeting both goals’ entry thresholds each week. These are spent on Baka’s separate event-shop merchandise; they are not more Showdown Candies. The bonus is awarded when you qualify, not when a community weapon target eventually fills. If your Halloween Candy balance rises but no weapon arrives, check the community progress before assuming the reward is missing.

Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade: winning charm

The Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade charm vote goes to whichever monster receives more Showdown Candies by the end of the week. The winning Frighter or Gravegade Keychain then becomes claimable on Dying Light Outpost starting Monday 2 November. Sign in and use the Claim button. This is different from Whisperblade and Neural Maul, which are delivered automatically when their goals are met. The week-one claim window ends along with the overall eligible claim grace period on 23 November, so don’t leave it indefinitely.

Why your weapon or charm hasn’t arrived

If a weapon from Dying Light 2 Frighter vs Gravegade is missing, first verify ten contributed to Frighter for Whisperblade and the Frighter goal reaching its target; for Neural Maul, check Gravegade separately. If neither appears, confirm Outpost sign-up and the linked platform, then inspect the stash instead of Baka’s shop. Week one ends on 2 November, after the 26 October launch. Weeks two and three have new matchups, with charm claims opening 9 and 16 November. The overall event ends 16 November; any eligible Outpost claims must be made by 23 November.

You can check the current faction totals and weekly charm claims on the official Halloween Showdown event page.
