To obtain it, ride the Phantom Express to Forgotten Town, enter the green whirlpool in the lake and fish in the hidden underground pool with the Haunted Rod. This is a fishing reward, not a Pumpkin King drop or an item bought with Candy Corn.
Your first objective is to reach Gus’s hidden fishing pool, not the normal Haunted Swamp bank. You need the train ticket from Echo’s Memories and the Ghost Fisherman’s challenge first. Once you reach Gus underground, you may need several catches before the key appears. No verified fixed catch count or drop percentage is available.
How to get the Steal an Egg Manor Key
Enter the Halloween Dimension through the portal at Spawn near the Trails Shop. Travel towards Echo’s witch-hat hut close to three tombstones and start his Memories quest. If you already finished Echo and own a Phantom Express Ticket, skip directly to the station.
Echo asks you to retrieve Mr. Squeaky near the pumpkin altar, the Chewed Bone near the Haunted Swamp riverbank, the Old Collar across the railway by a large tree, and the Old Photograph near the Abandoned Manor gate. Return them to Echo. Speak to the Ghost Fisherman at the swamp pier, collect the Haunted Rod and cast at the glowing marker to start the underwater obstacle course. Reach the chest at the end for your train ticket.
To find the Steal an Egg Manor Key, wait at the Phantom Express station and board when the train arrives. It is reported at approximately the top and half-hour of each hour, although the station’s countdown is the best indication of the actual arrival. Ride to Forgotten Town and find the lake.
Where is the green whirlpool?
The Steal an Egg Manor Key fishing spot is not in the ordinary swamp. In Forgotten Town, search the lake for a glowing green whirlpool and step into it. You are taken to an underground area with an isolated fishing pool. Look for Gus, who describes the missing key, and equip your Haunted Rod. Speaking to him is useful for directions but has not been verified as a required trigger for the drop.
Stand by the pool and keep completing the normal fishing interaction. Ordinary fish may appear before the key. Watch for the key in your catch results and inventory before leaving. Fishing elsewhere in the Halloween Dimension is not a substitute for the secret pool.
How long does the Steal an Egg Manor Key take to catch?
The key is obtained through fishing rather than a guaranteed quest dialogue reward. Several casts may be needed, and no verified drop rate is available. Do not mistake a few catches without the key for a broken quest: stay in Gus’s fishing area and keep trying while you have access.
If the rod does not work, finish Echo’s quest and the fisherman stage before trying again. The Haunted Rod and train ticket are different rewards, and you need the train to reach the new area. Where to use the Steal an Egg Manor Key
After catching the Steal an Egg Manor Key, follow the green sewer pipe exit back towards the Abandoned Manor. Approach the manor house at the top of the steps and interact with its locked front door. On PC, recorded gameplay shows the E interaction. On mobile or console, use the interact prompt displayed on screen.
The manor’s outer gate and the house door may behave differently. Some updated gameplay shows the exterior gate opening on approach, while other guides show the Manor Key being used there. Follow the lock prompt you actually see; if the gate opens without a key, continue to the house entrance and interact at its locked door.
What is inside after using the Steal an Egg Manor Key?
Once you unlock the manor with the Steal an Egg Manor Key, climb the stairs to find the four-pedestal fusion room. The Cursed Monarch ritual uses two Eternal Ghost Fish and two Divine Voidseer Pumpkins in total. The key opens the room but does not award those pets, so assemble your ingredients before trying the altar.
Pumpkin King is a different objective. The boss portal is outside the building and runs on its own reported opening schedule, approximately :15 and :45 each hour. Having the Manor Key does not mean that portal opens immediately. Look at the live countdown for the boss.
Steal an Egg Manor Key troubleshooting and next steps
If the Steal an Egg Manor Key whirlpool seems missing, make sure you are in Forgotten Town after the Phantom Express ride and search the lake for the glowing green effect. If you can reach the pool but not catch the item, check the Haunted Rod is equipped and that you are completing the catch rather than cancelling it early.
If the house still appears locked, verify the key appears in your inventory, move to the actual front door and use the interaction prompt.
