Steal an Egg Phantom Express is the haunted train that takes you out of the Halloween Dimension to a ghost-catching area. To board, you must finish Echo’s Memories and use the Haunted Rod in a special underwater challenge to earn a ticket. The train arrives approximately every 30 minutes, so the biggest obstacle is completing that quest rather than finding the station.
Echo is the ghost dog beside a witch-hat house in the Halloween Dimension. You’ll first need to return four of his missing possessions, then speak to the Ghost Fisherman. From there, the ticket lets you travel towards the Ghost Vacuum and Soul Extractor, where the event’s Spectral Mutation becomes available.
How to unlock Steal an Egg Phantom Express
Enter the Halloween Dimension through the portal near the Trails Shop at Spawn, then head diagonally left towards Echo’s witch-hat house, three tombs and a cauldron. Talk to Echo to begin his Memories quest. You don’t need to board the train to collect his lost belongings, and you can visit their locations in any order.

The Steal an Egg Phantom Express ticket quest begins by finding Mr. Squeaky, the Chewed Bone, Old Collar and Old Photograph. The four objects are scattered across the Halloween map, from the pumpkin altar near Echo’s home to the Abandoned Manor gate. Collect all four and return them to Echo to progress to the Ghost Fisherman.

How to get the Haunted Rod and Phantom Express Ticket
After you give Echo his things, he leads you to the Ghost Fisherman at the Haunted Swamp pier. Talk to the fisherman and collect the Haunted Rod. Stand on the glowing marker, cast into the ripples and start the underwater minigame. To earn the Steal an Egg Phantom Express ticket, steer through the hazards and mines until you reach the treasure chest at the end.
Open that chest to receive the ticket. The fishing rod alone isn’t enough to board the train, and returning the keepsakes doesn’t automatically award a ticket. If you leave the minigame before reaching the chest, finish the challenge before travelling back to the station.
Steal an Egg Phantom Express train schedule and location
The Steal an Egg Phantom Express stops at the railway platform in the Halloween Dimension near the swamp. Players report arrivals roughly every half-hour, often at XX:00 and XX:30. There can be small timing differences between servers, so check the countdown at the station instead of relying entirely on your local wall clock.
Wait on the platform with your ticket and approach the train when it arrives. Use the boarding interaction to travel to the Phantom area. If you miss one departure, watch the timer for the next rather than repeating Echo’s item hunt. The Halloween train is a different activity from the ordinary event shop beside the giant pumpkin.
Where does Steal an Egg Phantom Express go?
The Steal an Egg Phantom Express takes ticket holders to the Phantom area, where ghost-catching becomes the new objective. Look for the Ghost Vacuum, use it to collect floating ghosts and gather Haunted Spirits, also called Souls. Take those Spirits to the Soul Extractor to exchange them for a Spectral Mutation consumable that can be applied to an egg.
Recent October screenshots display a 500-Soul exchange price and a 25% application chance, while older community instructions showed 1,000 Souls. Read the number shown on your Soul Extractor before making the purchase. The consumable is a chance to apply Spectral, not an automatic mutation just because you’ve collected the required Souls.
Is the Steal an Egg Phantom Express ticket consumed?
You earn the ticket by finishing the Ghost Fisherman’s underwater challenge, but the ticket’s re-use rules are not shown in the event instructions. Check your inventory after the first ride before planning another. There’s no reason to spend Candy Corn on Halloween Dimension Eggs expecting one of them to replace the train ticket.
What if the Phantom Express won’t let you board?
If the Steal an Egg Phantom Express refuses boarding, check that Echo’s counter is complete and you’ve opened the treasure chest at the end of the fishing minigame. If you only have the Haunted Rod, the last step is still missing. If the platform is empty, look for the next arrival timer; the train doesn’t stay at the station continuously.
