The Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant sells sixteen Halloween shop items during FischFright 3, from a 10-Treat Blobfish Mask to the 25,000-Treat Dutchman’s Grasp required for a Cemetery ritual. His store is aboard the ghost ship flying above Caustic Hallow, so you need to get onto that roaming ship rather than visit the Frightful Merchant who buys fish on the ground.
The Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant is especially important if you’re collecting the Halloween rods. Dutchman’s Grasp, Davy’s Rose and Omniscient Souls are necessary for ritual progression, while masks, boats and most other cosmetics are optional. Here’s the complete price list, where to find the shop, and which items to buy first so you’re not left short of Treats when you’re ready to unlock a rod.
Where is the Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant in Fisch?
Take the Flying Dutchman transport ship from Moosewood’s eastern beach to the event island, Caustic Hallow. Once you arrive, look upwards for a second ghost ship moving around over the village. The Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant is on that airborne ship. Reach a high ledge and use a Glider or Gravity Coil to board, then walk towards the merchant NPC and interact to open his shop.

Don’t confuse the ship with the one that ferries you to Caustic Hallow. The travelling Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant is found up in the sky, and the Frightful Merchant on the ground does something different: he pays Treats for spare Halloween catches. If you’ve found an NPC who wants to buy fish instead of selling totems and roses, you’re at the wrong shop.

These are the event’s reported Treat prices. The Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant has some one-stock items, including major ritual materials and cosmetics, while Relics and Frightful Caskets are shown as repeatable. Because shop stock and prices may change with an update, check the current quantity on the item before making a purchase. There are sixteen distinct lines in the table, with Grim, Vile and Doomed Relics priced separately.
Davy’s Rose, Dutchman’s Grasp and Omniscient Souls
For Cemetery progression, three Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant purchases are the priority. Davy’s Rose costs 5,000 Treats and awakens the Skeleton Hand called Azael’s Grasp. Dutchman’s Grasp costs 25,000 Treats and must be placed in the Dutchman’s Blessing ritual. Omniscient Souls costs 10,000 Treats and is a required offering for the Omniscient ritual that rewards the Spinecaster rod.
Buying one of each costs 40,000 Treats, before the 100-Treat fee for each Cemetery ritual. Set aside these purchases if you want all the Halloween rods. You will also need many fish, mutations and Skulls from fishing and quests; the merchant doesn’t sell the entire ritual recipe. Our eleven Cemetery rituals guide gives the ingredient lists, while our Ritual Roses walkthrough explains how to awaken the remaining hands.
What do the Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant’s Totems do?
Two expensive shop items summon special Halloween conditions. The Jack-o-Moon Totem, costing 15,000 Treats, creates the weather associated with several rare event fish and special mutations. It can be useful when targeting the Nessies or catching fish for Cemetery rituals, but check whether the correct weather is already active before spending.
The Frightful Pool Totem costs 3,000 Treats and creates a Frightful Pool without waiting for a natural one to spawn. The pool type is random, so it cannot guarantee the exact Grim, Vile, Doomed or Eldritch variant you want. For players progressing Doomsekkar’s fishing quest, the Totem can provide another opportunity for pool catches. See our Doomsekkar Rod guide for the one hundred catches and Perfect Catch streak.
Are the Relics worth buying?
The Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant sells Grim, Vile and Doomed Relics at 2,500 Treats each, while the Eldritch Relic is 7,500. These Relics can help create special fish mutations needed by the later Cemetery recipes. You can also obtain some of them through Frightful Pool fishing and ritual rewards, so buying them is a convenience rather than the only available source.
If you urgently need a certain mutation to finish Dutchman’s Blessing, paying for the matching Relic could save several pool spawns. On the other hand, spending 7,500 Treats on an Eldritch Relic leaves you further from the expensive Grasp if you’re still saving. The Boglin Branch guide explains another route to a useful event mutation without buying a Relic.

What should you buy first?
If you’re collecting the ritual rods, prioritise Davy’s Rose and the two more expensive offerings. The purchase order is straightforward: awaken the Skeleton Hand, save the 25,000 Treats for Dutchman’s Blessing, and reserve 10,000 for Omniscient Souls. The Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant also sells limited cosmetics, but you can safely postpone them until your required materials have been purchased.
If you just want some Halloween items, the cheaper choices are the 10-Treat Blobfish Mask, 30-Treat Frightful Casket and 150-Treat Gumball Bobber. The Leviathan and Mossjaw masks each cost 1,500. Purchasing one of every distinct shop item at the listed prices totals 81,690 Treats, excluding any repeated Caskets or Relics. Collecting the full shop therefore requires a far larger Treat budget than buying only the ritual essentials.
How to earn Treats for the Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant
On Caustic Hallow, equip the Candy Bucket and knock at the sixteen numbered village houses. Choose the Treat option for a steady reward, then move to another door while the previous one cools down. You can also earn currency from active Frightful Pools, the Halloween NPC questlines, Frightful Caskets and selling surplus event catches to the Frightful Merchant. Keep any rare fish needed for later rituals before selling duplicates.
The code FischFright2026 was released with a 226-Treat bonus, 2,026 coins and cosmetics. It may expire, so use our Fisch codes list to check before you redeem. Working towards Webby Winston’s quest lets you complete all sixteen house visits while farming, with the Webweaver Rod walkthrough explaining the other two objectives.
Why is the Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant missing?
If you cannot find the Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant, look up rather than searching every village street. The ship moves above Caustic Hallow, and reaching it may require a Glider or jumping from a high point. If an item is greyed out, check whether you have enough Treats and whether its stock is already exhausted. Some major items can be bought only once per player.
The event island is reached by talking to the Dutchman Captain at Moosewood, not by sailing randomly into open water. If you need directions or timing, our FischFright 3 event guide explains the ferry and the Halloween island. Once aboard the shop ship, save your ritual items rather than consuming or discarding them, and finish the linked quests before the event ends.
The Fisch Flying Dutchman Merchant combines optional collectibles with three major quest items. Knowing their costs before you shop lets you choose whether to focus on the Cemetery rod unlocks or buy the cheaper cosmetics first, without exhausting your Treat balance on unrelated items.
