Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2026 runs from October 13 until November 3, bringing Shadow of the Mad King back to Tyria. You can enter the Mad Realm, farm the Labyrinth, race mounts, tackle the Clock Tower and fight Mad King Thorn. New rewards include the Primeval King’s Wrappings headpiece and Fog Machine weapon skins.

This year’s event also has a refreshed Candy Corn vendor selection, new homestead and guild decorations, and a separate Twitch Drops campaign ending October 18.

Halloween 2026 dates and how to enter the Mad Realm

Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2026 uses several separate reward systems, including annual and weekly achievements, festival vendors and a limited Twitch campaign. The in-game festival ends November 3, but Twitch rewards have an earlier deadline.

Check your mail for Magister Tassi’s Invitation to the Mad Realm. Lion’s Arch has festival entrances; players level 35+ or those owning an expansion can access Lion’s Arch through major-city portals. Otherwise, haunted doors in Village of Shaemoor or Village of Smokestead lead to Lunatic Boatmasters. These event guides follow the October 13–November 3, 2026 festival.

The annual meta-achievement rewards Primeval King’s Wrappings, while progression grants a Fog Machine weapon choice. The Plush Mad King Backpack and Mini Longhaired Black Cat are purchased with Candy Corn Cobs and other materials, not awarded automatically for logging in.

Halloween Rituals and Fog Machine weapons

Open the Festivals achievement category and look for (Annual) Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2026 Rituals. Complete the listed annual festival achievements until the meta-achievement is finished. Activities include Labyrinth combat, race laps and the festival’s other challenges. Check the current achievement counter for the exact requirements before spending time on an activity that isn’t part of the current annual list.

ArenaNet also added the Unchained weapon set from weekly candy corn vendors. The returning Lunatic Jester’s Trousers, a previous annual reward, are available from festival vendors for players who missed them. These are separate from the 2026 Primeval King’s Wrappings.

Labyrinth Candy Corn and Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2026 merchants

Enter the Mad King’s Labyrinth through Mad Realm access, defeat enemies and open doors for Trick-or-Treat Bags. The maze features bosses including the Grand High Viscount of Candy Corn and Labyrinthine Horror. Candy Corn is used or condensed into Cobs for festival vendors; check the vendor material requirements before choosing what to purchase.

To farm efficiently, join an active map group and follow its event route rather than wandering alone between boss locations. You can use the in-game Looking For Group tool to find Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2026 Labyrinth squads. Open any bags you intend to keep as a source of rewards, or sell them if that’s better for your immediate gold needs.

New 2026 homestead and guild decorations

Deft Lahar in Lion’s Arch offers the new Plush Zhaia, Plush Mad King, Foreboding Raven Tree and Foreboding Raven Roost decorations. ArenaNet also lists autumn-themed Gem Store bundles and seasonal discounts through November 3. These are cosmetic options, not requirements for finishing the Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2026 Rituals achievement.

Guild Wars 2 Halloween 2026 Twitch Drops and deadlines

A separate Guild Wars 2 Twitch promotion runs from October 13 at 9 AM Pacific until October 18 at 11:59 PM Pacific. Link your Guild Wars 2 and Twitch accounts, watch an eligible stream and claim your rewards from Twitch inventory. The advertised prizes are a Mad King Dye Kit, Mask of the Queen Skin, and Ghoul Backpack and Mini Set.

Because the Twitch campaign ends before the in-game festival, don’t leave its rewards until November. You can finish the annual festival achievements and Candy Corn exchange during the longer event window, but the Twitch viewing and claiming conditions have their own deadline.
