Guild Wars 2 Mad King’s Labyrinth 2026 is open until 3 November as part of Shadow of the Mad King. It’s the festival’s big combat maze, where groups fight Halloween enemies, open haunted doors and gather Trick-or-Treat Bags and Candy Corn. You can also encounter bosses, including the Grand High Viscount of Candy Corn and the Labyrinthine Horror.
You don’t need to finish a difficult story quest to enter. Magister Tassi’s in-game invitation is a quick route into the Mad Realm, and there are entrances in Lion’s Arch and through Lunatic Boatmasters. Once inside, finding an active squad is the easiest way to settle into a good farming run.
How to enter Guild Wars 2 Mad King’s Labyrinth 2026
Check your mail for Magister Tassi’s Invitation to the Mad Realm. ArenaNet confirms that it can take you into the festival area. You can also use the Halloween portals in Lion’s Arch or speak to a Lunatic Boatmaster at a haunted door.

To reach Lion’s Arch through a major-city portal, ArenaNet says you need a level 35 or higher character or ownership of an expansion. Otherwise, look for a haunted door in places such as the Village of Shaemoor or Village of Smokestead and use the boatmaster’s route into the Mad Realm. From there, choose the Labyrinth activity.
Farming Trick-or-Treat Bags in Guild Wars 2 Mad King’s Labyrinth 2026
Open Looking For Group and find a Labyrinth squad with an active commander. Follow the commander through packs of enemies and haunted-door events instead of spending your time searching quiet corridors. An organised group can keep the fights moving and make trick-or-treat farming less frustrating.
You still need to contribute to the fights to collect your share of loot. Stay close enough to attack enemies and take part when the group opens a door. If the squad moves to another event, follow it rather than clearing the previous area on your own.
Guild Wars 2 Mad King’s Labyrinth 2026 bosses and enemies
The two bosses ArenaNet highlights are the Grand High Viscount of Candy Corn and the roaming Labyrinthine Horror. Both make the maze more dangerous than a simple run through ordinary enemies. Stay near your group and be ready to revive players when it’s safe.

| Boss or hazard | What to know |
|---|---|
| Grand High Viscount of Candy Corn | Named Halloween Labyrinth boss |
| Labyrinthine Horror | Dangerous roaming enemy in the maze |
| Haunted doors | Can trigger waves or event encounters |
| Ordinary Mad Realm mobs | Repeatable foes for group farming |
Guild Wars 2 Mad King’s Labyrinth 2026: What should you do with Candy Corn?
Guild Wars 2 Mad King’s Labyrinth 2026 is a reliable place to collect Trick-or-Treat Bags and Candy Corn while the festival is active. Seasonal traders take Candy Corn Cobs and other materials for cosmetics such as the Plush Mad King Backpack and Mini Longhaired Black Cat. Check each vendor’s current ingredients before converting your entire stock.
If you’re farming for gold rather than for materials, compare the Trading Post value of unopened Trick-or-Treat Bags with the items you might get by opening them. Prices change as the festival progresses, so a fixed bags-per-hour or gold-per-hour promise would be misleading.
Labyrinth farming for Halloween Rituals
Labyrinth combat can contribute to Halloween achievement progress. Open the Festivals section of Achievements to see exactly which objectives remain. The Halloween Rituals 2026 guide explains how to earn the Primeval King’s Wrappings and your Fog Machine weapon choice.
Do you need an expansion or mount to run Labyrinth?
You can join a Labyrinth group without owning a personal expansion mount. Mounts can help with travel, but the combat and loot are still accessible on foot. If you want to try the separate Mad King’s Raceway, ArenaNet confirms rental mounts are available for those races.
The festival ends on 3 November 2026. Finish your remaining Labyrinth runs and collect any achievement progress before it closes. ArenaNet has announced the end date, but its main news post does not give an exact UK cutoff hour.
