Guild Wars 2 Halloween Rituals 2026 is the annual meta-achievement for the Primeval King’s Wrappings headpiece. Progressing through it also earns a choice of Fog Machine weapon. Shadow of the Mad King ends on 3 November 2026, so check your unfinished annual tasks before the festival closes.
These are achievement prizes, not items bought with Candy Corn. The backpack and miniature have their own festival vendors, while the Fog Machine weapons also have a separate weekly achievement route. If you want the Wrappings, start with the annual checklist.
How to complete Guild Wars 2 Halloween Rituals 2026
Open Achievements, select Festivals and find (Annual) Halloween Rituals. The list shows which annual objectives you still need and how much progress you’ve made. Follow the individual requirements instead of repeating whichever Halloween activity happens to be nearby.

ArenaNet says the meta requires a variety of Halloween activities. A Labyrinth run is good for combat progress, but a remaining race or jumping-puzzle objective won’t be completed by farming another corridor. Use the current 2026 checklist rather than an older year’s thresholds.
Guild Wars 2 Halloween Rituals 2026: reward sources
| Reward | How to obtain |
|---|---|
| Primeval King’s Wrappings headpiece | (Annual) Halloween Rituals meta-achievement |
| Fog Machine weapon choice | Annual Halloween Rituals progression; also weekly Halloween Festivities |
| Plush Mad King Backpack | Candy Corn Cob and other material exchange |
| Mini Longhaired Black Cat | Candy Corn Cob and other material exchange |
| Unchained weapon chest | Weekly candy corn vendors |
| Lunatic Jester’s Trousers | Returning reward from Halloween vendors |
The Primeval King’s Wrappings are the annual completion reward. A Fog Machine weapon choice is earned through progress on the annual meta. It’s a choice, not the entire set, so check the weapon you select rather than expecting every skin to unlock at once.
Activities to complete for festival progression

| Festival activity | Where or how |
|---|---|
| Mad King’s Labyrinth | Mad Realm through Lion’s Arch or Lunatic Boatmasters |
| Mad King’s Clock Tower | Jumping puzzle; Stopped Clock Tower alternative |
| Mad King’s Raceway | Mount races and timed courses; rental mounts offered |
| Mad King Says | Lion’s Arch, every two hours |
| Ascent to Madness | Fight Mad King Thorn |
| Lunatic Inquisition | Mini-game accessed via Lunatic Boatmaster |
| Reaper’s Rumble | Mini-game accessed via Lunatic Boatmaster |
The raceway offers mount races and time trials, while Mad King Says takes place in Lion’s Arch every two hours. The Labyrinth is the main combat maze; Clock Tower is for jumping puzzles, and Ascent to Madness is a fight against Mad King Thorn.
Guild Wars 2 Halloween Rituals 2026 and weekly Halloween Festivities
The (Weekly) Halloween Festivities achievement offers another Fog Machine weapon choice. Annual and weekly activities can overlap during a play session, but the achievement entries are separate. Claim your earned weekly rewards without depending on an assumed reset hour.
The Fog Machine set revisits the older Grim Machine weapon designs. You don’t need to own those older skins before choosing a new one. If you want multiple Fog Machine appearances, the weekly track is worth checking as well as the annual progression.
Guild Wars 2 Halloween Rituals 2026 versus Candy Corn vendor rewards
Festival vendors sell last year’s Lunatic Jester’s Trousers, while weekly Candy Corn vendors offer the Trader’s Unchained Chest. Those are separate from the new 2026 annual Wrappings reward.
Best way to finish before November 3
Start with whichever requirements you have left. A Labyrinth squad helps with combat tasks, but you should switch to a race, Clock Tower or another listed activity when that’s what your annual progress needs. Check the Achievements panel after each completed goal.
The festival closes on 3 November 2026. ArenaNet’s announcement gives that date without a separate UK closing hour. Finish the remaining objectives and claim your prizes while the event is still active.
