FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount is the prize for reaching the top 300 in Europe, North America or Japan, or the top 100 in Oceania, during Crucible Rankings Season 1. The competition opened at 5:00 a.m. GMT on October 26, 2026. Square Enix has yet to confirm an exact closing date.
You can’t buy the mount with gil or MGP. To qualify, record Crucible board attempts on Third Degree, tick Participate in rankings and compete on your Home World. The mount comes from the Crucible Contender achievement, with further achievements awarded at higher ranks.
How to unlock the FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount
- Enter the Crucible of the Unbroken.
- Select the Third Degree difficulty.
- Enable Participate in Rankings.
- Complete ranked boards on your Home World, not while visiting a different World.
- Check your score by speaking to Lauda in Central Shroud at X:21.9, Y:22.8.
- Improve the recorded attempts during Season 1.
- Finish in the top 300 in Europe, North America or Japan, or the top 100 in Oceania, to earn the mount.
Your final ranking decides whether you earn the mount; clearing the Crucible once isn’t enough. A temporary position inside the qualifying bracket is useful progress, but it doesn’t guarantee the reward if other competitors move ahead before the season closes.

FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount ranks by data centre
| Final place | Europe, North America and Japan | Oceania |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Beast of the Best, Running Feral, Crucible Contender, mount | Same rewards |
| 2nd to 30th | Running Feral, Crucible Contender, mount | Same rewards |
| 31st to 100th | Running Feral, Crucible Contender, mount | Crucible Contender, mount |
| 101st to 300th | Crucible Contender, mount | No listed mount reward |
| 301st or below | No listed mount reward | No listed mount reward |
In Europe, North America and Japan, ranks 1 to 300 receive Crucible Contender and the FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount; ranks 1 to 100 also receive Running Feral. In Oceania, Crucible Contender and the mount stop at rank 100, while Running Feral only goes to the top 30. First place earns Beast of the Best in every region.
No vendor shortcut or fixed purchase cost is confirmed. The only officially announced Season 1 route for the FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount is the competitive leaderboard.
Season 1 deadline and the incorrect in-game date
Season 1 started at 10:00 p.m. PDT on October 25, or 5:00 a.m. GMT on October 26 in the UK. Square Enix’s North American patch notes give a late-November end window and identify the game’s “Early December” label as an error. Its European Lodestone notice, however, also says early December. The exact cutoff is still unconfirmed.
Don’t rely on either approximate date as the official cutoff. Check for Square Enix’s final season-closing announcement and leave yourself time to complete your eligible attempts.
How last-three-attempt scoring affects the mount
Rankings use the last three attempts for each board. A past exceptional run can drop out of the calculation as you complete newer attempts, so don’t assume that a high personal record guarantees your season result.
The FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount requires sustained performance across the board scoring system. Check with Lauda after completing runs and look at how the leaderboard responds before deciding whether to risk more attempts.
Patch 7.57 points for elite enemies and survival
| Scoring condition | Before 7.57 | From 7.57 |
|---|---|---|
| Elite enemy defeat | 625 | 800 |
| Sleepless Survival | 375 | 1,000 |
These changes came in the October 13 patch, ahead of Season 1. Surviving for the Sleepless Survival bonus is now worth considerably more, while elites award a moderate increase. Use those numbers when working towards the FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount instead of following an outdated scoring guide.

Why isn’t my ranked score showing?
Check that you entered Third Degree, enabled Participate in Rankings and completed your attempts on your Home World. If you visited another World using travel features, return home before you record further scores. Lauda in the Central Shroud is the NPC to check your standing.
A local score from a non-ranking run isn’t proof that you’ve secured the FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount. Qualification is based on recorded rankings and the final leaderboard placement.
Can you get Tourmaline Golem after Season 1?
Square Enix hasn’t announced an alternative way to obtain the FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount after Season 1. The published route is a qualifying Crucible leaderboard finish, with the regional thresholds shown above. No future shop or rerun route has been confirmed.
For the FFXIV Tourmaline Golem Mount, your best approach is to check the ranking checkbox, complete Third Degree attempts on your Home World and track your position with Lauda. Remember the different Oceanian cutoff and look for the confirmed season end time rather than trusting an approximate month.
