Marathon Sponsored Queues give Runners a supplied kit for weekend extraction matches. Sponsored Perimeter runs from Thursday 29 October through Monday 2 November 2026, confirmed by Bungie’s 1.1.9.6 patch notes. Marsh comes next, followed by Night Marsh.
Only one sponsored surface map is scheduled at a time. Regular Extraction remains available across the other zones, so the weekend changes which supplied-kit option is offered rather than closing maps.
Marathon Sponsored Queues October and November schedule
| Sponsored map | 2026 dates |
|---|---|
| Perimeter | 8 to 12 October |
| Marsh | 15 to 19 October |
| Night Marsh | 22 to 26 October |
| Perimeter | 29 October to 2 November |
| Marsh | 5 to 9 November |
| Night Marsh | 12 to 16 November |
Bungie confirmed Perimeter’s return on 27 October. Night Marsh was the previous sponsored weekend, with Marsh next on 5 November. The same patch fixes solo and duo contract reputation and a Night Marsh dropship issue; see our Marathon Update 1.1.9.6 coverage.
The opening cycle featured Perimeter from 8 to 12 October, Marsh from 15 to 19 October, and Night Marsh from 22 to 26 October. Perimeter returned from 29 October to 2 November, followed by Marsh from 5 to 9 November and Night Marsh from 12 to 16 November. Bungie’s announced windows run Thursday through Monday.
How the three-week map rotation works
There are three consecutive weekend maps: Perimeter, Dire Marsh in its daytime version, and Night Marsh. After the third week, the sequence repeats until the Symbiosis update, scheduled for December 8. That means you can anticipate your next chance at a specific sponsored map without assuming every playlist is live at once. Marathon Sponsored Queues use the same Thursday-to-Monday access window as Cryo Archive, but the maps available in the queues are separate from Cryo’s endgame ship.

Marathon Sponsored Queues: What a sponsored match changes
The supplied loadout makes it easier to jump into a run without putting your rarest personal equipment at risk. That is handy during a progression reset, when you are trying to rebuild supplies, or when you want to practise a new map without an expensive buy-in.
Is regular Extraction still available?
A sponsored kit does not make the match safe. UESC enemies, other Runners and extraction still matter. If your crew wants to use its own weapons, ordinary Extraction remains available while the weekend sponsored option rotates.
Sponsored Marsh and Cryo Archive are different
Sponsored Marsh coincided with Cryo Archive reopening on 15 October, but the activities are separate. Marsh is a surface extraction queue with supplied gear; Cryo Archive is the endgame ship, with its own entry conditions. See our Cryo Archive guide before planning a ship run.
Night Marsh weekend and Vault Breaker
Sponsored Night Marsh occupied the 22 to 26 October slot. Vault Breaker also returned around that time, but it is a distinct Cryo Archive PvE event. Bungie’s later 1.1.9.5 patch dates Vault Breaker from 20 October to 10 November. Its Vault Data, Armory and stock limits are covered in our Vault Breaker guide.
What happens after the third weekend?
Marathon Sponsored Queues continue with Marsh on 5 to 9 November and Night Marsh on 12 to 16 November. C.A.R.R.I., Vault Breaker and other Nightfall events have their own timetables, not extra sponsored surface playlists that run alongside Perimeter.

Why sponsored kits help after the wipe
After October’s reset, Marathon Sponsored Queues are a useful way to get back into combat. You can explore a familiar zone and get used to the current weapon tuning without immediately dipping into your best personal gear.
What if your chosen Sponsored Queue is missing?
If the queue you expected is missing, check the day and advertised map first. Marathon Sponsored Queues run Thursday through Monday, so Tuesday and Wednesday are outside the regular window. Make sure you have selected the sponsored playlist, then check Bungie’s service notices for genuine interruptions.
