Queen’s Domain Steam Deck support is officially Verified. The full game earned Valve’s highest compatibility rating just before its 30 October 2026 release, and developer Freshly Baked Games announced the news on 29 October. Earlier reports about the demo’s Unknown rating no longer describe the finished game.

That is welcome news for anyone who wants to explore the Isle of Neasied on a handheld. Queen’s Domain is a first-person fantasy action RPG with demanding combat, hidden routes and a sword that lets you fly across gaps. Here is what its Deck rating covers, how to find the demo and which Steam features you can use.

Steam’s page for the full game displays Steam Deck Compatibility: Verified. Valve reserves this label for games that pass checks covering controls, display, seamless operation and system support. That includes usable default controller inputs and text that is readable on the handheld screen. It is a confirmed compatibility result, not a guess based on the PC specifications.

Freshly Baked Games announced verification for both Steam Deck and Steam Machine on 29 October. The original demo’s separate Unknown compatibility label caused some confusion before launch, but the paid game’s Verified badge is the one that matters when purchasing. Queen’s Domain Steam Deck support is therefore confirmed for the full Steam release.

Queen’s Domain Steam Deck support on LCD and OLED

Yes. Valve applies its compatibility ratings to both Steam Deck LCD and Steam Deck OLED. The OLED model does not require a separate game-specific verification, so the official result covers both versions of the handheld. The same compatibility badge covers the original handheld and the newer OLED model.

How to install Queen’s Domain on Steam Deck

Open Steam on your Deck, search for Queen’s Domain and select the main game. Once purchased, open it from your library and choose Install. You do not need a separate handheld edition: your Steam purchase is the PC release that carries the Verified rating.

Start with the normal controller layout. Full controller support is listed by the developer, and Valve’s Verified assessment covers the default handheld setup. If you want to adjust button assignments later, Steam Input provides controller settings. Queen’s Domain Steam Deck support works with the default layout, so you can start playing without hunting for community controller settings.

Can you download the free demo on Steam Deck?

The Steam page also offers a free Queen’s Domain demo. Open the same store listing and select the demo download if you want to try the opening section before buying. According to the publisher, it includes early exploration, several weapons, a first dungeon and a boss, with roughly an hour of gameplay for many players.

The demo is a separate Steam product and may display a different compatibility label from the final game. It also shouldn’t be treated as a guaranteed head start: save transfer from the demo to the full release isn’t listed as a feature. Queen’s Domain Steam Deck support is Verified for the finished game, while the demo has its own compatibility entry.

Controls, combat and the Holy Sword Endu

Steam lists Full Controller Support, including Xbox and PlayStation controllers. That matters in a game where you manage stamina, time charged attacks, use weapon-specific moves and switch between melee and throwing weapons. You can approach those systems with a gamepad instead of relying on mouse controls.

Holy Sword Endu also works as a traversal tool. It can carry you between platforms, and upgrades extend how far it reaches. With that much movement involved, being able to use the built-in controls is more useful than a vague claim that the game might run on handheld hardware. Queen’s Domain Steam Deck support earned Valve’s Verified rating through its compatibility checks.

Steam Cloud, achievements and performance

Queen’s Domain lists Steam Cloud and Steam achievements. If you play on both a Deck and Windows PC, let Steam finish synchronising your save before switching devices. Those features belong to the Steam version and don’t establish cross-save support with PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch 2.

Steam Deck Verified also isn’t a frame-rate or battery-life benchmark. No specific battery duration was published with the announcement, and a fixed performance figure shouldn’t be inferred from the Windows minimum requirements. Those desktop requirements include an i5 quad-core at 2.5 GHz, 4 GB RAM, GTX 760 or RX 560 graphics and 1,500 MB of space.

So the useful answer is simple: Queen’s Domain Steam Deck support is Verified for the full game, on both LCD and OLED models. The Steam release has full controller support, cloud saves and achievements, and a separate free demo is available if you want to try the game first.
