Queen’s Domain release date was Friday, 30 October 2026. The retro-fantasy action RPG launched on Windows PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, with all four versions arriving on the same day. Publisher Future Friends Games confirmed the launch across PC and consoles.
Developed by the two-person team at Freshly Baked Games, Queen’s Domain sends you to the Isle of Neasied in search of your missing father. You’ll fight strange enemies, explore twisting paths and use a legendary sword to reach places you can’t get to on foot. If you’re deciding which version to buy, here’s exactly where the game released and what each platform offers.

The Queen’s Domain release date is 30 October 2026 for Steam PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Those are the platforms named in Future Friends Games’ launch announcement. The game isn’t limited to Steam, and console owners haven’t been given a later release window.
There is an important difference between Switch and Switch 2 here. Nintendo’s listing is specifically for Switch 2. The PlayStation version is for PS5 and the Xbox version is for Series X|S. PS4, Xbox One and the original Nintendo Switch weren’t included in the announced launch lineup.
Where can you play and buy Queen’s Domain?
On PC, you’ll find the game in the Steam store for Windows. The PlayStation Store has its PS5 listing, the Xbox store carries the Series X|S version and the Nintendo eShop lists the Switch 2 release. The same Queen’s Domain release date applies to each version, although prices and download sizes are shown by the individual storefronts.
Nintendo confirms TV, tabletop and handheld play modes for the Switch 2 edition, with a listed UK download size of 1.8 GB. The PlayStation listing names PS5 and supports DualSense vibration, while Xbox’s release is for the Series X|S family. Check the platform written on the store page before buying; similarly named console generations aren’t interchangeable.
Queen’s Domain release date on Steam and Steam Deck
Yes. Queen’s Domain launched on Steam on 30 October, and the full game is officially Steam Deck Verified. Developer Freshly Baked Games announced the handheld certification on 29 October. If you own a Deck, you can buy the regular Steam edition rather than look for a separate handheld release.
Steam lists full controller support, achievements and Steam Cloud. The controller listing includes Xbox and PlayStation pads, and Valve’s Verified rating applies to Steam Deck LCD and OLED. That helps if you’re choosing between the Steam edition and a console copy.
Is there a free Queen’s Domain demo?
There is. A separate free demo remains listed from the main Steam page. It covers the game’s opening area, several weapons, a first dungeon and a boss. The publisher suggests about an hour of play for many people, so it’s a chance to see whether the game’s deliberate first-person combat and exploration suit you.
The demo isn’t the full game and shouldn’t be mistaken for an early-access edition. The Queen’s Domain release date refers to the finished paid release. The store doesn’t advertise save transfer from the demo as a feature, so make your buying decision on the full game’s contents rather than an assumed carry-over.
Queen’s Domain release date: what is the game about?
You wash ashore on the Isle of Neasied and set off to find your father. The game draws on older fantasy action RPGs, placing its focus on discovering routes through an interconnected island and dealing with enemies that can punish careless attacks. Its first-person view makes each dark passage and ruined structure part of the exploration.
Combat uses a stamina meter, charged attacks, weapon-specific abilities and secondary throwing weapons. Freshly Baked Games advertises more than 50 melee weapons, over 20 types of throwing weapons and more than 100 enemies, mini-bosses and bosses. You can level up using experience points and eat food to increase your stats. All of that is part of the full game, not something promised for a later patch.
How does the Holy Sword Endu work?
The Legendary Holy Sword Endu is a weapon with another job: it lets you fly between platforms and cross gaps. Upgrades increase its reach, opening routes through the island that ordinary movement can’t handle. It’s one of the main reasons exploration matters as much as fighting. Our separate Endu and weapons guides go deeper into the game’s systems.
For anyone who has been following the Queen’s Domain release date, the wait is over. It launched on 30 October 2026 for Steam PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. The free Steam demo is there if you want a preview, while the full PC release is also Steam Deck Verified.
