Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build: Ae’grom and Lesser Demon Setup

Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build

Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build is built for players who want an army of demons doing the fighting. You bind Ae’grom through the Legion Soul Shard, generate Lesser Demons with Command Fallen and Sigil of Summons, then turn the battlefield into a mess of explosions using the Spawn Fragment. There’s no need to stand in front of an elite firing Blazing Scream when your summons can take the pressure for you.

For Season 15, the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build works as a genuine summoner with Tortured Wretch, two Sigils and Metamorphosis supporting Ae’grom. It can begin without a set of mandatory Uniques, which is a relief if you’re only just reaching endgame. You’ll need to understand the difference between Wrath and Dominance, though, and time Ae’grom’s detonation properly so you don’t blow up the whole army for nothing.

For this Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build, select Legion with the Spawn Fragment and place the following skills on your bar. This is the Season 15 Tortured Wretch summoner variant, not the separately geared Command Fallen Lunatic build or the Blazing Scream Vanguard setup.

SkillJob in the build
Command Ae’gromKeep the bound demon active and explode accumulated Lesser Demons with the Spawn Fragment.
Command FallenGenerate Wrath and Dominance while adding an explosive Lesser Demon to the field.
Tortured WretchSpend Dominance on a damaging summon that also Taunts enemies away from you.
Sigil of SummonsCreate a ritual that strengthens the demon army and generates more attackers as enemies die.
Sigil of SubversionHex enemies and provide Shadowform-related movement effects as the ritual grows.
MetamorphosisEnter Demonform to improve survivability and the resource efficiency of summoning.

The biggest difference in the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build is that Tortured Wretch becomes a frequent Dominance spender. Command Fallen restores the resources needed to summon more, while Ae’grom and the Sigils keep Lesser Demons appearing around you. Casting six abilities at random will feel much weaker than following this cycle.

Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build: how Ae’grom and Lesser Demons work

The Legion Shard binds Ae’grom, a Greater Demon whose command ordinarily produces Vile Children. Legion boosts Lesser Demon casting after you use a Greater Demon skill. When 200 Lesser Demons have died, your next Greater Demon skill can be cast without paying its usual Dominance cost. That makes the deaths of your smaller demons part of the resource cycle, not simply a loss.

With Spawn selected, Ae’grom passively produces Vile Children, and using Greater Demon skills briefly increases their spawn rate. Command Ae’grom changes into a detonation that explodes all your active Lesser Demons. This is the main burst of the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build, so wait until enough demons are present and the target can actually take the damage.

The Soul Shard can be obtained through the level 15 Warlock class quest, Disciple of the Forbidden, in Ked Bardu. Further Fragment choices open at level 30 according to current post-launch Warlock guides. Blizzard’s earlier preview listed level 30 for the overall class mechanic, which explains the outdated wording that previously appeared on this page.

Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build: Spawn, Sacrificial or Evisceration?

The three Legion Fragments change the purpose of your Lesser Demons. For this Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build, stick with Spawn unless you specifically want crowd-control protection or an Eviscerate-focused alternative.

FragmentEffectBest for
SpawnAe’grom produces Vile Children automatically; Command Ae’grom detonates your Lesser Demons. The main explosive summoner build.
SacrificialA Lesser Demon is sacrificed to prevent an incoming crowd-control effect, granting protection while demons remain.Dangerous fights where crowd control interrupts your rotation.
EviscerationYour demons prioritise Eviscerated enemies and can gain additional Eviscerate interactions.A separate focused-damage setup.

When your Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build seems to lose its summons every time you command Ae’grom, check the selected Fragment. Spawn is supposed to consume the demons in an explosion. Rather than pressing the command the instant it’s ready, build the army back up with Command Fallen and your Sigils, then unleash the next burst.

Gear that strengthens the Legion summoner

You can begin the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build with ordinary Legendaries. The Season 15 summoner loadout has several worthwhile Unique and Aspect targets, but none is required before you can use the basic summoning loop. Focus on equipment that actually increases Demonology, summon damage or resource reliability.

SlotItem or AspectWhy
HelmCage of MadnessBoosts Command Fallen damage and its Lunatic interactions.
ChestFleshwrit CarapaceHelps Sigils deal damage and build ritual progress.
PantsMorlu FleshwardImproves Defensive skill damage, including Tortured Wretch.
Off-handHellbent Commander AspectIncreases damage dealt by summoned demons.
AmuletSeed of HorazonScales Demonology with Wrath and rewards Dominance defensively.
RingThe Fecund SealStrengthens Sigil of Summons and its Lesser Demon output.
Other ringAspect of AdaptabilityHelps the resource loop for your Basic skill.

For the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build, look for Willpower, Maximum Life, Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance and summon damage. Resource generation is a priority if you keep running out of Dominance before Tortured Wretch comes back. Don’t sacrifice Armor and resistances just to equip a Unique: even a large demon army won’t intercept every boss attack.

Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build: Paragon and Talisman choices

The Fathomless Paragon board suits the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build because it increases damage for demons summoned recently, up to its listed cap. The current effect counts demons summoned within 20 seconds. The Dominion board is also useful: spending Dominance on summons temporarily reduces Wrath costs for Demonology skills and increases your damage.

For the exact board rotations, sockets and every skill-point rank, follow the current Season 15 summoner planner. A named board alone won’t tell you where to place hundreds of Paragon points. For Glyphs, work towards level 50 first, then level 51 for their further bonus. The Berú of Horazon’s Chains Talisman set is another endgame option when you have five matching Charms.

Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build: rotation for packs and bosses

Against normal packs, begin with Ae’grom already summoned. Enter Demonform through Metamorphosis, place Sigil of Subversion where enemies are gathering and add Sigil of Summons. Cast Tortured Wretch into the group so it Taunts and attacks, then use Command Fallen to generate more resources and Lesser Demons. Keep the summons active while the rituals do their work.

Once several Lesser Demons have built up, use Command Ae’grom to explode them. This is the big moment in the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build, and you’ll lose much of the benefit if you trigger it on two scattered enemies. After detonating, repeat Command Fallen and Tortured Wretch to rebuild your army rather than standing still with nothing summoned.

For bosses, place the Sigils before committing the expensive summons and keep Tortured Wretch active to draw attention. Wait for a damage window before detonating your Lesser Demons. A boss entering an invulnerable phase immediately after you press Command Ae’grom can waste the entire burst. Save enough Dominance to bring new demons back as soon as the phase ends.

How to level into the summoner setup

Before the complete Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build is available, use Command Fallen as your Basic and Dread Claws as a damage spender. That gives you a working loop while you unlock more skills. The Season 15 Demon Summoner levelling route uses Dread Claws to turn Lesser Demon activity into stronger damage rather than asking you to play the full endgame bar at level one.

Finish Disciple of the Forbidden at level 15 and select Legion, then get comfortable with Ae’grom’s command before the Spawn Fragment becomes available. As your skill points grow, add Tortured Wretch, the Sigils and Metamorphosis. At level 70, the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build can transition into stronger gear without replacing its central summoning mechanic.

Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build: common mistakes and fixes

If the Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build has too few demons to explode, cast Command Fallen more often and keep Sigil of Summons in the middle of the fight. If Dominance runs dry, stop spending it indiscriminately and build resources before summoning another Tortured Wretch. If enemies reach you too easily, use Tortured Wretch’s Taunt earlier and improve your defenses.

If your damage is underwhelming despite good gear, check whether Ae’grom is actually bound to Legion and whether Spawn is selected. Make sure the explosion happens after your Lesser Demon count has built up, not immediately after a previous detonation. Fathomless and summon-damage affixes are also worth checking once you’re into Paragon.

The Diablo 4 Legion Warlock Build rewards patience with the summon cycle. Keep Ae’grom active, put Sigils where enemies are dying, refill the army with Command Fallen and Tortured Wretch, and detonate a full group of Lesser Demons when it can hurt. Once those steps are working, the gear and Paragon upgrades start paying off.
