Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite is now available through two official routes: buy the Outfit directly in the Fortnite Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks, or purchase any edition of CONTROL Resonant through the Epic Games Store and receive Dylan Faden as a gift with purchase. The promotion is tied to the Epic Games Store version of Remedy Entertainment’s new game, so buying CONTROL Resonant on Steam, PlayStation or Xbox does not create the same Fortnite entitlement.
The important part of the Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite offer is that Epic handles the reward through the same Epic account used for Fortnite. Players who already bought Dylan from the Shop and then make an eligible CONTROL Resonant purchase can receive a one-time 1,500 V-Bucks grant instead of a duplicate Outfit. That gives existing owners a reason to understand the promotion before buying the game on another storefront.
How to Get the Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite

The easiest way to get the Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite depends on whether you already want CONTROL Resonant. If you are buying the game on PC anyway, the Epic Games Store purchase is the better-value route because the Outfit is granted as part of the game purchase. If you only want the Fortnite cosmetic, Dylan is also listed separately in the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.
- Buy any edition of CONTROL Resonant on the Epic Games Store while signed into the Epic account you use for Fortnite.
- Launch Fortnite on that Epic account after the purchase has been processed.
- Check the Locker for the Dylan Faden Outfit. Epic says eligible purchases grant the Outfit automatically.
- If you already own Dylan from the Item Shop, check your V-Bucks balance for the one-time 1,500 V-Bucks replacement grant instead.
Epic’s support page says purchase date does not affect eligibility while the promotion remains available. The Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite offer is therefore not restricted to pre-orders or launch-day buyers.
Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite Item Shop Price and Availability
The Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite costs 1,500 V-Bucks when bought directly from the Fortnite Item Shop. Epic’s live listing currently shows Dylan as part of the CONTROL Resonant set and lists the Outfit through October 1, 2026 at the current Shop rotation.
Players who want to check whether the Outfit is still live can use our Fortnite Item Shop tracker. The tracker updates with the current rotation, which is useful once a collaboration leaves its first advertised Shop window.
Do You Get Dylan Faden on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch?
Yes, once the reward is attached to your Epic account, the Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite can appear in Fortnite on linked platforms. Epic’s CONTROL Resonant FAQ says the Outfit is available across connected console accounts as long as those platforms are linked to the same Epic account.
The qualifying game purchase itself is specifically through the Epic Games Store. That distinction matters: the Fortnite cosmetic can be used on linked consoles, but the gift-with-purchase trigger comes from buying CONTROL Resonant through Epic’s PC storefront.
What Happens If You Already Own Dylan Faden?
If you already bought the Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite and later purchase an eligible Epic Games Store copy of CONTROL Resonant, Epic says you receive a one-time grant of 1,500 V-Bucks instead of another copy of the Outfit. The replacement grant is designed for players who bought the skin before completing the game promotion.
Epic also states that the V-Bucks replacement applies only where the Outfit purchase falls within the stated refund eligibility window in the promotion terms. That is why it is worth using the official CONTROL Resonant FAQ if your account has an older or unusual purchase history.
Can You Gift CONTROL Resonant and Still Get the Fortnite Skin?
Yes. Epic says gifting CONTROL Resonant through the Epic Games Store transfers the promotional entitlement to the recipient. Your friend receives the Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite, or the 1,500 V-Bucks replacement if that account already owns the Outfit.
The reward follows the recipient rather than the person paying for the gift. Make sure the game is gifted to the Epic account that the recipient actually uses for Fortnite, especially if they maintain separate PC and console identities.
What Happens If You Refund CONTROL Resonant?
Refunding the qualifying Epic Games Store purchase removes the promotional reward. Epic’s FAQ says the Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite can be taken back if the game purchase is refunded, and the same applies to the 1,500 V-Bucks replacement grant if that was issued instead.
That makes the promotion different from a permanent free giveaway. The Outfit is attached to a qualifying game purchase, so the Fortnite reward remains valid while that purchase remains valid.
CONTROL Resonant Guides on The Click
If the game itself is the reason you are considering the promotion, our CONTROL Resonant length guide explains the official 25 to 35 hour main-story estimate. We also have guides to CONTROL Resonant Artifacts and crafting, PS5 performance modes and the current CONTROL Resonant Twitch Drops.
For the promotion itself, Epic’s official Dylan Faden support page is the first-party source for eligibility, gifting and the replacement V-Bucks rule. The Dylan Faden Skin in Fortnite is one of the cleaner Fortnite game-purchase promotions because Epic has documented both the Shop route and the Epic Games Store route directly.
