PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO is a five-city costume collection celebrating Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Each stop on the Asia-Pacific tour offers its own colour, with Singapore’s Blue version joining the collection in November 2026.
After Kuala Lumpur’s September debut and Taipei’s October celebration, Singapore is next on 7–8 November. You can find PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO in the wild, through free Timed Research and as stamp-rally rewards. The stamp encounters are the route to a special Location Background from the host city.
How to Get PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO
The best method depends on what you want: a regional costume to catch, or a Pikachu with a city-specific Location Background.
The local costume appears during each city’s celebration, then remains available as a wild encounter for one month after the event ends. That wild-encounter window is different from the stamp-rally collection period.
Two free Timed Research tracks are part of the anniversary event. Pokémon GO lists Pikachu encounters, a Premium Battle Pass and an event sticker among the rewards, without giving every track’s task list.
For a Location Background, collect five stamps in the city’s local rally. The separate cross-region rally also awards a city-specific Pikachu encounter when you collect that city’s individual stamp.
| Encounter Method | Available? | Special Feature |

| Wild encounters after the event | Yes | Available for one month after the event |

PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO Locations
There are five confirmed regional versions of PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO.
Each PokéXciting! city will receive a different costume color inspired by its local region.
| Location | Event Dates | Gameplay Area |
|---|---|---|
| Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | September 12–13, 2026 | KLCC Park |
| Taipei, Taiwan | October 10–11, 2026 | Select areas of Xinyi District |
| Singapore | November 7–8, 2026 | Citywide |
| Manila, Philippines | January 23–24, 2027 | SM Mall of Asia surroundings |
| Bangkok, Thailand | February 13–14, 2027 | To be announced |
Three costumes have been named by the publisher: Turquoise in Kuala Lumpur, Pink in Taipei and Blue in Singapore. Manila and Bangkok have their own regional variants planned.
For Singapore’s reward routes, see our Blue Pikachu stamp-rally guide.
Kuala Lumpur PokéXciting Pikachu
Kuala Lumpur introduced PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO on 12–13 September 2026, with the Turquoise version debuting at KLCC Park.
The celebration will take place at KLCC Park.
Kuala Lumpur’s exclusive costume is Turquoise, rather than the Blue version arriving in Singapore.
Its post-event wild-encounter period continued for one month after the Kuala Lumpur celebration ended.
PokéXciting! Pikachu can also be obtained through the Kuala Lumpur GO Stamp Rally, including encounters featuring a Location Background.
Taipei PokéXciting Pikachu
Taipei hosts the second PokéXciting! celebration on October 10 and October 11, 2026.
Gameplay will take place in selected areas of Xinyi District, excluding mountainous regions.
Taipei’s costume is Pink, distinct from Kuala Lumpur’s Turquoise and Singapore’s Blue.
The Taipei costume will continue appearing in the wild for one month after the local event concludes.
Taipei is also part of the wider cross-region GO Stamp Rally, giving visiting Trainers another opportunity to collect a location-specific PokéXciting! Pikachu encounter.
Singapore Blue PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO
Singapore’s version is officially named PokéXciting! Pikachu (Blue). It debuts during the Changi Airport and Jewel celebration on 7 and 8 November 2026, from 10am to 10pm Singapore time each day. The in-game event bonuses cover Singapore citywide, but the special GO Stamp Rally rewards require visiting the designated airport PokéStops.
There are two confirmed stamp-rally ways to collect PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO with a Singapore Location Background. One is a single long-term stamp at Terminal 3, while the other is a five-stamp route around Changi Airport and Jewel. They are separate collections, and both award an encounter with Singapore’s Blue costume.
| Singapore method | What to do | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-region rally | Collect Singapore’s stamp at Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall. Available since 12 September 2026 through 11 September 2029. | PokéXciting! Pikachu (Blue) with Singapore Location Background |
| Changi/Jewel regional rally | Collect all five local stamps at designated PokéStops around Changi Airport and Jewel. | Another PokéXciting! Pikachu (Blue) with Singapore Location Background |
The regional five stamps are designed around Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu and Lapras. Pokémon GO has not published a complete address list for each local stamp. Its wider anniversary rules say local stamp rallies continue for one month after their event begins, rather than ending at the same time as the two-day celebration.
Singapore’s Blue costume is different from Turquoise, the Kuala Lumpur version of PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO. Travelling to Malaysia for a Turquoise costume will not award the Singapore Blue version. A stamp-rally encounter carries the relevant local Location Background, which is separate from simply seeing the regional costume in the wild.
Read the Blue PokéXciting Pikachu Singapore guide for both routes and the Singapore event guide for times, research, Gigantamax Battles and bonuses. These explain how PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO fits into the larger five-city anniversary tour.
Manila PokéXciting Pikachu
Manila hosts its PokéXciting! celebration on January 23 and January 24, 2027.
The event will take place around the SM Mall of Asia.
The Manila version of PokéXciting! Pikachu will feature its own locally inspired costume color and will be available through the event’s wild encounters and other PokéXciting! features.
It will then continue appearing as a wild encounter in Manila for one month after the local celebration ends.
Bangkok PokéXciting Pikachu
Bangkok is currently the final announced stop on the PokéXciting! tour.
The Bangkok event takes place on February 13 and February 14, 2027.
The exact gameplay area has not yet been announced.
Bangkok will receive the fifth confirmed regional costume version of PokéXciting! Pikachu, with further location and event details expected closer to February 2027.
Can PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO Be Shiny?
Yes. Pokémon GO’s official wild-encounter list marks regional PokéXciting Pikachu as Shiny-eligible. That does not guarantee a Shiny from a stamp-reward encounter.
The official wild-encounter list explicitly marks the regional costume Pikachu as Shiny-eligible.
That does not mean every stamp-rally encounter is guaranteed to be Shiny.
The publisher has not announced boosted Shiny odds for the regional Pikachu, nor a separate Shiny rate for Singapore’s two stamp encounters.
Pokémon GO has not announced boosted Shiny odds for the regional costumes or a separate Shiny rate for the Singapore stamp rewards.
PokéXciting Pikachu Colors
Five regional costumes are planned for PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO. Three of their colours are already known.
The confirmed regions are:
- Kuala Lumpur
- Taipei
- Singapore
- Manila
- Bangkok
Each version will feature a different costume color inspired by its respective local region.
The named variants are Turquoise for Kuala Lumpur, Pink for Taipei and Blue for Singapore. The other cities’ colours will be added when they are confirmed.
Our colour and location guide keeps the designs and their cities together.
How Long Is PokéXciting Pikachu Available?
PokéXciting! Pikachu will remain available beyond each two-day event.
The regional version appearing in each city will continue spawning in the wild for one month after that city’s event concludes.
This gives Trainers more time to catch the local costume even if they cannot attend during the main weekend.
The extended availability is especially useful for anyone travelling to one of the participating cities shortly after the official PokéXciting! celebration.
How to Get PokéXciting Pikachu With a Location Background
The GO Stamp Rally provides a special way to obtain PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO with a Location Background.
During each local PokéXciting! event, Trainers can visit designated PokéStops around the event area and collect stamps.
Collecting five stamps rewards an encounter with PokéXciting! Pikachu featuring a Location Background.
The local Stamp Rally remains available for one month after the local event begins.
A separate cross-region Stamp Rally also runs across participating cities, with long-term locations confirmed for Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Singapore and Manila.
These Stamp Rally encounters make the Location Background versions another collectible variation alongside the five regional costume colors.
How Many PokéXciting Pikachu Are There?
There are currently five regional PokéXciting! Pikachu versions announced for Pokémon GO.
One version is associated with each city on the PokéXciting! tour.
| PokéXciting! Pikachu | Region |
|---|---|
| Regional Version 1 | Kuala Lumpur |
| Regional Version 2 | Taipei |
| Regional Version 3 | Singapore |
| Regional Version 4 | Manila |
| Regional Version 5 | Bangkok |
PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO currently has confirmed Turquoise, Pink and Blue variants; the remaining two city colours are part of later announcements.
PokéXciting Pikachu in Pokémon GO first appeared in Kuala Lumpur on 12 September 2026. Taipei followed in October, Singapore hosts its event on 7–8 November, and Manila and Bangkok are scheduled for early 2027.
