The Minecraft Flurry music disc is a new track by Hyper Potions that you can find in the chest of an Igloo basement. It arrived in Java 26.4 Snapshot 7 and Bedrock Preview/Beta 26.70.23 on 3 November 2026, as part of testing for Minecraft’s final game drop of the year.
Not every Igloo has a basement, and even a basement chest won’t always contain the disc. The Minecraft Flurry music disc has a confirmed 30% chance in Igloo chests in Bedrock Preview 26.70.23. Mojang’s Java Snapshot 7 notes give the location but do not specify a Java percentage.
Where to find the Minecraft Flurry music disc
Search snowy Overworld biomes for an Igloo, the small dome-shaped building made from Snow blocks. Igloos generate in Snowy Plains, Snowy Taiga and Snowy Slopes. Look inside and check beneath the carpet: some Igloos hide a trapdoor leading to a basement. Others have no basement at all.
If the trapdoor is there, open it and go down into the room below. The basement contains a chest alongside the familiar Villager and Zombie Villager setup. Open that chest to check for the Minecraft Flurry music disc. You can open the chest without interacting with the two villagers. Flurry is chest loot, not a drop from the Frostbite mob.
Minecraft Flurry music disc drop chance
| Game version | Confirmed Igloo chest information |
|---|---|
| Java 26.4 Snapshot 7 | Flurry has a chance to appear in Igloo basement chests; no percentage in the Java notes |
| Bedrock Preview/Beta 26.70.23 | Flurry has a 30% chance in Igloo chests |
| Ordinary stable Minecraft | The new disc belongs to the current testing builds, not confirmed ordinary Survival loot |
In Bedrock Preview, 30% means each eligible chest is a separate chance. It doesn’t mean you’ll get the disc after visiting three or four Igloos. You can search several basements without finding it. For Java, don’t apply the Bedrock figure as though Mojang has confirmed the same exact rate. Both test builds put the disc in the same general type of structure.
If the chest doesn’t have the Minecraft Flurry music disc, move on to another Igloo with a basement. There’s no crafting recipe for the disc.

How to search Igloos more efficiently
Take food and supplies for a trip through Snowy Plains, Snowy Taiga and Snowy Slopes, looking for small snow domes. Check the carpet inside before digging around the whole building. A missing trapdoor normally means that Igloo has no basement; find another one. If there is a basement, descend, open the chest and take any other useful loot before moving on.
The room also contains the items for curing a Zombie Villager: a Splash Potion of Weakness and a Golden Apple. You don’t have to cure the villager to collect Flurry.
Who made the Minecraft Flurry music disc?
Hyper Potions composed Flurry. Flurry won’t start playing just because you’re in a snowy biome; you need a Jukebox. Put it in a Jukebox to listen to it or add it to a Jukebox playlist. If you want a sequence of tracks playing without replacing each one manually, our Jukebox Playlist guide explains the setup.
In Java Snapshot 7, a Jukebox playing Flurry gives a comparator output of 7. That is useful in Redstone builds where the signal strength tells a nearby circuit which record is playing. Bedrock Preview 26.70.23 also fixes unwanted vibration emissions when discs are moved within a Jukebox playlist.
Why can’t I find the Minecraft Flurry music disc?
First check your version. In Java, you need the relevant 26.4 snapshot. In Bedrock, use Preview/Beta 26.70.23 rather than assuming a standard release already includes the disc. Next, make sure you’re searching an Igloo basement chest, not a random chest in another snowy structure. Finally, remember that chance-based loot is not guaranteed.
Flurry arrived alongside the new Calcite building sets. If you want to see the new building blocks that arrived alongside it, our Calcite blocks guide covers those. As of these November notes, the complete fourth game drop still has no specific stable release date announced in the changelogs.
