Find The Needle early access release date is Friday 6 November 2026 on Steam. Needless Games says the full Early Access build is playable from the first scoop of hay to the ending, which involves discovering all 24 needles hidden in an increasingly complicated warehouse.
You start with a shovel and an enormous pile of hay. Sell what you clear, buy the equipment that saves you time, and gradually hand the work over to conveyors and machines. Needless Games has built five production stages and more than 300 upgrades into this release.
Find The Needle early access release date and launch time

The publisher lists 6 November 2026 as the Early Access launch date for Windows PC. The Find The Needle early access release date refers to the full game, not the free demo offered separately during Steam Next Fest. There is no verified UK launch clock time in the developer’s FAQ.
The date is confirmed, but there is no confirmed UK unlock hour. If the purchase button hasn’t appeared yet, check Steam again rather than relying on an unofficial countdown.
How much does Find The Needle cost?
The current developer notes do not establish a definite UK price. Steam will show the live price in pounds once purchasing is available; converting a US price is not the same as verifying the British storefront. Needless Games intends to raise the price when Early Access finishes.
The studio estimates six to twelve months in Early Access while it works on balancing and later factory systems. There is no fixed 1.0 date. The Find The Needle early access release date marks the start of that development period.
How many needles can you find?
Needless Games confirms 24 needles can be collected in the Early Access version, including the current ending. You should not confuse the demo’s smaller content sample with the full run or assume that only the first few needles are available.
The Find The Needle early access release date introduces five production stages, progressing from hay bales and bricks to paper, bioplastic and carbon fibre. Later equipment includes powered belts, pipes, scanners, blueprints and robotic systems for processing hay.
How long does a run last?
The studio estimates seven to ten hours for a Standard pile and 30 hours or longer for a Mountain pile. These are broad developer estimates, not completion guarantees. How quickly you automate the work and solve the needle-search problem changes the experience.
At first you’ll collect hay with basic tools and sell it for money. Later you’ll place machines, wire their power and connect material transport lines. Our automation guide explains the systems the developer names without inventing hidden needle positions.
What does Early Access include?
Needless Games describes a fully playable beginning-to-end loop, but also warns about bugs. It plans more machines, bigger late-game projects and balancing improvements in future updates. A demo-to-full save transfer hasn’t been confirmed in the current description.
The Find The Needle early access release date also brings a different storage requirement from the demo. The full listing says 3 GB free, whereas the demo’s earlier requirement said 2 GB. Integrated graphics are not supported, and a dedicated Vulkan 1.3 GPU is recommended even at minimum.
If you have a laptop or an older PC, check our requirements guide first. The Find The Needle early access release date is useful only if your PC can reliably run the processing machinery, especially in later large factories.
