TFT free Mythic Chibi missions are coming with Set 19 in Patch 19.1. Riot is giving every player a mission to play 20 Set 19 games, which awards a special token for a random Mythic Chibi-only banner. There’s a second, shorter objective too: play one game to earn 500 Treasure Tokens.

These missions aren’t available in Patch 18.6, and that 20-game reward is random. You can’t simply pick any Mythic Chibi you like. There is also a different reward for players who already owned certain Mythic and Prestige cosmetics.

How to get the TFT free Mythic Chibi in Set 19

Once Patch 19.1 is live, finish 20 games in Set 19. Riot says this earns a token for a special banner containing only Mythic Chibis. There won’t be Unbound Tacticians or Mythic Little Legends in that banner.

The key word is random. Riot describes the outcome as one random Mythic Chibi, not a voucher you can trade for a particular character. The TFT free Mythic Chibi mission guarantees the reward category, but not your preferred Chibi.

The final banner lineup, claim buttons and eligible queues haven’t been published. When Set 19 launches, look at the mission’s own progress counter instead of assuming that a particular game mode counts.

Every TFT free Mythic Chibi appreciation mission reward

Requirement in Set 19 Reward Eligibility
Play 1 game 500 Treasure Tokens All players
Play 20 games Token for random Mythic Chibi-only banner All players

The one-game and 20-game missions are separate. One eligible Set 19 match gets you 500 Treasure Tokens. You only need to complete the longer task for the TFT free Mythic Chibi banner token.

When will the TFT free Mythic Chibi missions start?

Both missions are scheduled for Patch 19.1 with Set 19. Riot announced the rewards on November 2, but Patch 18.6 is the standalone-client update. There is no reason to grind these missions before the set they’re tied to begins.

Twenty matches in the current Enchanted Wilds set won’t satisfy a future Set 19 mission. Riot also hasn’t announced its expiry date. Once it appears, check the in-game deadline instead of assuming you’ll have unlimited time.

Extra compensation for Mythic and Prestige owners

Riot is also compensating people whose purchased cosmetics were affected during the switch to Unreal Engine. This is separate from the TFT free Mythic Chibi available to everyone through playing 20 games.

Owned before Patch 18.7 Compensation
Mythic Tactician or Mythic Arena 2 Mythic Medallions
Prestige Tactician One as-yet-unannounced Mythic Chibi

That before Patch 18.7 deadline is important. These rewards are for qualifying existing owners, not anyone who buys their first Mythic item after the cut-off. Riot says eligible compensation will be delivered automatically after players log in following the release of 19.1.

The Prestige-owner Chibi hasn’t been named yet. Riot also hasn’t promised extra Medallions for owning multiple Mythic items. Treat the announced two-Medallion reward as the offer until the developer says otherwise.

Why is Riot offering a free Mythic Chibi?

Set 18 moved TFT to Unreal Engine, which meant Riot had to convert older cosmetics to work in the new game. Some owned Tacticians and Arenas weren’t immediately available during the conversion. The new missions are Riot’s way of thanking players for their patience, with extra compensation for certain owners.

That’s why there are two different routes: match-based rewards for everyone and automatic compensation for qualifying cosmetic purchases. The TFT free Mythic Chibi mission doesn’t require an existing Prestige or Mythic purchase.

Can you pick the free Mythic Chibi you want?

No choice system has been announced for the 20-game token. Riot specifically describes a random Mythic Chibi from the banner. The TFT free Mythic Chibi reward isn’t the same as being handed Mythic Medallions and choosing an item in a separate store.

Don’t trust a claimed drop-rate table or a list of guaranteed characters before Riot reveals the actual banner. For now, the confirmed reward is a random Mythic Chibi from a Chibi-only pool.

TFT free Mythic Chibi FAQ

Can I claim it today? No. The Set 19 appreciation missions begin with Patch 19.1, not Patch 18.6.

Do I need a paid pass? Riot has described the one-game and 20-game missions as rewards for all players.

Do the 500 Treasure Tokens unlock the Chibi? No. The Treasure Tokens are the one-game reward. The special Chibi token comes from the longer mission.

What if I already own a Prestige Tactician? Qualifying owners before Patch 18.7 are due a separate unannounced Mythic Chibi after Patch 19.1 releases.

If you’re after the TFT free Mythic Chibi, wait for Set 19 and its mission tracker. There’s no need to grind the 20-game objective in the wrong set and miss out on the actual reward.
