Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026, with 12 announced venues across 11 cities. These are free-to-attend community pop-ups where Trainers can meet local players, join activities, take photos and check in for Timed Research. You don’t need to purchase a Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global ticket simply to attend a public meetup.

The pop-ups don’t all close at 6 PM. Taipei runs until 10 PM, Kowloon until 9 PM and Melbourne closes at 5 PM. The table below gives the local time at each venue for both days, so use the row for your city rather than converting from another country’s clock.

Pokémon GO has confirmed these twelve Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups venues for both November 14 and 15. Each location uses the same opening hours on Saturday and Sunday.

What happens at the Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups?

You’ll find Pokémon GO activities, photo opportunities and local Community Ambassadors at the venues. Giveaways are planned while supplies last, so don’t count on getting a promotional item just because you attend.

Checking in at a meetup unlocks Timed Research with rewards including an encounter and items. Pokémon GO hasn’t named the encounter Pokémon or published the complete research tasks for these pop-ups. Follow the check-in directions at the actual venue.

The meetups are also places to find people for raids and Max Battles. If you’re heading there for the research, remember that attending and checking in are separate steps.

Do the Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups require a GO Wild Area ticket?

No ticket is advertised as a requirement to enter the community pop-ups. The publisher calls these public events and welcomes new, returning and regular players. You can visit a meetup and meet other Trainers without paying for the optional Wild Area: Global ticket.

The optional Global ticket unlocks separate paid Special Research and gameplay bonuses. You don’t need it to attend these public pop-ups, but turning up at a meetup does not give you those paid ticket rewards.

Meetup hours versus Wild Area Global gameplay hours

The wider Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global event runs on both days from 10 AM to 6 PM local time. Those are the official in-game event hours. The Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups don’t all have the same opening and closing times as the Global gameplay, and it’s worth planning around that distinction.

For example, the community area in Taipei stays open until 10 PM, four hours after the Global in-game event finishes. Melbourne’s pop-up ends at 5 PM, while the in-game event continues until 6 PM. Plan separately for meetup activities and Wild Area gameplay.

How to check in at the Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups

Visit the announced venue during its local hours and look for the Pokémon GO meetup activity. The announcement explicitly links the Timed Research reward to checking in, so being in the same city isn’t enough to assume the research has been granted. Follow the on-site directions from the local Community Ambassadors and the current official event information.

Check in using the event instructions at your location. Pokémon GO hasn’t published one universal redemption code or a step-by-step check-in procedure covering every mall, park and promenade in the list.

Planning your visit and checking for changes

The official notice says locations and activities are subject to change. Before travelling across a city, check the latest event details from Pokémon GO and the associated local community. Be especially careful with big shopping complexes: the Taipei booth is at the South Entrance on the first floor, Jakarta’s Agora Mall gathering is on Level 2, and Pasay’s is at the MOA Sky Amphitheatre. Those distinctions are much more useful than simply searching for the mall name.

Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups are separate from the European gatherings in Karlsruhe and Stockholm. See our European Wild Area meetups guide for those venues, or the Global 2026 event guide for the raids, habitats and ticket bonuses.

Before setting off, confirm the venue and its local opening hours, especially if you’re travelling across a large city. Go to the stated meeting point, check in for the research and enjoy the event. Pokémon GO Wild Area Asia-Pacific Meetups are a chance to meet local players as well as take part in Wild Area weekend.
