Pokémon GO Wild Area Global 2026 runs on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, between 10:00am and 6:00pm local time. The weekend brings Gigantamax Duraludon, Dynamax Dialga and Palkia, rotating Steel and Dragon encounters, mighty Pokémon and GO Safari Balls. Everyone can play without buying a ticket.
The optional US$11.99 ticket adds Special Research, more Raid Passes, extra Max Particles and ticket-only Incense encounters. You can still join Max Battles without the ticket, so choose it for the paid extras rather than as a requirement for the weekend.
Pokémon GO Wild Area Global 2026: dates and daily schedule

Both days run for eight hours, from 10:00am until 6:00pm wherever you’re playing. In Britain, that means 10:00am–6:00pm GMT. The earlier in-person Wild Area weekends in Sendai and Mexico City, 6–8 November, are separate events with different ticket arrangements.
Pokémon GO Wild Area Global 2026: raid and Max Battle bosses
| Date | Five-star raids | Max Battles |
|---|---|---|
| 14 November | Zekrom, White Kyurem | Dynamax Dialga, Gigantamax Duraludon |
| 15 November | Reshiram, Black Kyurem | Dynamax Palkia, Gigantamax Duraludon |
Machamp in a modern jacket appears in three-star raids both days. Black and White Kyurem raids award Fusion Energy, while selected raid and Max Battle catches may have a Special Background. Gigantamax Duraludon is a six-star Max Battle and can be Shiny. Max Battles require eligible Max-capable Pokémon, not a conventional raid team.
Steel and Dragon hours, mighty Pokémon and Safari Balls
Wild encounters rotate through Solid as Steel Hour and Daring as Dragons Hour, starting with Steel. Mighty Pokémon are powerful wild encounters that can be harder to catch. All Trainers have a chance to get GO Safari Balls by spinning PokéStops and Gym Photo Discs during event hours.
Those Safari Balls make catching mighty Pokémon easier, but they disappear from your inventory after the event. Use them before 6:00pm on Sunday. Free bonuses also include up to three Raid Passes per day from Gym Photo Discs and a daily Max Particle limit of 1,600.
Pokémon GO Wild Area Global 2026: ticket price and paid research
The worldwide ticket costs US$11.99 or the equivalent local price. Its branching Special Research asks you to choose a Steel or Dragon route and awards one of two medals, along with a Gigantamax Duraludon encounter featuring a Special Background.
Ticket holders get an increased chance of Shiny encounters, up to six free Raid Passes per day and a 3,200 Max Particle daily cap. Regular Incense can attract mighty Latias and Latios, as well as Unown D, I, L and W; Daily Adventure Incense doesn’t count. Hourly Supply Balloons provide more Safari Balls.
Other paid bonuses include double catch Candy, longer Incense, increased 10 km Egg chances, two-hour Lure Modules and extra Snapshot encounters. The ticket doesn’t guarantee a Shiny, and you don’t need to buy it to find ordinary event encounters.
Pokémon GO Wild Area Global 2026: what to do first
Make a plan for both days if you want the Legendary Max Battles: Dialga is available on Saturday, Palkia on Sunday. The Max Battle guide covers their different weaknesses, while our Duraludon guide focuses on the six-star debut. Check your Max Pokémon and arrange a group before the event begins.
If you have the Global ticket, leave time for its Steel or Dragon Special Research, and use regular Incense while you can play. Trading bonuses have a longer daily window, but the featured encounters and main gameplay end at 6:00pm.
Dynamax Trails and Eternatus follow in November
Dynamax Trails runs from 16 to 23 November. Eternamax Eternatus takes over most Power Spots on Saturday 21 November from 11:00am to 2:00pm local time. Winning gives Eternatus Candy and Candy XL; it doesn’t give you an Eternamax catch encounter.
Pokémon GO Wild Area Global 2026 also overlaps with a useful preparation step: claiming Tier 1 rewards on the Into the Wild GO Pass unlocks early Dynamax Trails access and a free Deluxe upgrade. That’s a separate benefit from the paid Wild Area Global ticket.
